No doubt is the first among the new IIMs that are opened in India. The good thing about this college is its serene location which gives one enough time to think about its career. Besides it gives ample opportunity to student to develop in all fields i.e. sports, extra curricular activities.

I cleared CAT and secured 99.3%ile to get admission into this college. The reason is that I want to get into IIM so, I selected this college. Besides these I heard from my senior that finance faculties are really good and placement is also good.

Course curriculum is vast and cover different fields i.e. what a MBA aspirants want to pursue. It provides courses in 4 major electives as given below, Finance, Marketing, Operation & Strategy, ITOne can select one stream as major and other as minor depending upon once preference about its career.

The internship is also good in my college and nearly all of of my batch got placed, The highest stipend offer is around 50000 per month whereas lowest is in range of 10000 per month. I got my internship at L&T with stipend of 20000 per month.

The placement scenario is good. During our batch around 35 companies visited to hire 94 students in our Batch. The average salary is around 11 LPA whereas highes salary is around 22 LPA. Different companies that come to our campus and their offerings are as follows, Deloitte:- 12-14 LPA, Yes Bank- 9-12 LPA, P&G - 16 LPA, Nomura- 18 LPA apart from these ICICI, E&Y, HSBC, Deustshe Bank also visited the campus.

The different festival celebrated in my college are as follows, cultural festival, golf cup, entrepreneur festival, sustainability conferencee management fest, yearly financial festival by finance club.

The FEE structure is feasible as it is the lowest among all IIMs and also loan is easy available for the students. Besides there are grants available for quota management students and also scholarships are provided to few students on the basis of merits.

Yes , SBI is providing loan to IIM students under their merit loan scheme. The benefit of this scheme is that it charges less interest rate compare to other education loan program.

The campus life is really very good as the college is situated in serene location of Shillong. Apart from study, one can get good chance of exploring sports, extracurricular activities and also trekking activities in some of the World famous trek.

The hostel and mess facilities are really very good as most of the hostels and facilities are new. The food is of high quality and also varieties are provided through out the week. The hostel is in sharing for 1st year student and single for second year student the average fees is 1 lakh per year including food and other expenses.

Alumni network is one of the best what i experience in case of IIM Shillong though it is new but seniors are always ready to help and guide students.

The exam structure is trimester based and it happens thrice in a year the scheduled is hectic but it give ample time to students to understand and analyze the courses.

The faculty is really good especially the finance professor. All faculties are Phds and has vast experience in their field. Most of them are involved in one or other kind of extensive research. Apart from the regular course, they also allow students to take part in many outside live projects.
