Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have a great interest in studying physics and doing research in this field. Since I could not go for B.Tech. so this is best for now. The curriculum prepares well for other higher studies and entrance exams. But it somehow lacks in practical learning. The labs priods are reduced from 4 to 2 hours which burdens us to doing all practicals mentioned in time but in every semester some of them is not done. Also some equipments are not there. These are the things which can improved. The teaching and learning methods could be shifted to new advanced methods. The are semester exams along with mid semester exams. The difficulty level varies from medium to hard.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internships coming in the college campus. The important internship is one named Vice Chancellor Internship. Students with good cgpa are eligible for this but there are only few vacancies for it. There are many coaching centres like PW and some other who were offering internships as tutor. Some of my classmates are doing internships

Placement Experience

3

Only third year students get placement opportunities. There is a placement cell of the University which helps the students to get placed in top companies like Infosys, Google, Adobe etc. Only a few students get placed as they lack important skills so most of them go for higher studies and government exams. I am also looking for higher studies in some research college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a small fee hike in both the first and second years. The fee for one year is 25k including every charges and fees. We have to pay fee for whole fee at once. One more thing, there is fee of approx 2k for semester exams registration as university conducts these exams. There are many scholarships but you have to find them and fill up their registrations. One is INSPIRE which is best for topper students of their respective boards. There is internship named VCIS for every student with good cgpa. There are many other internships available.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual cultural fest of Hansraj College is the confluence which is celebrated at the start of April. There are always some events workshops, seminars and fest in north campus colleges. The only thing you need is your Id Card Almost every book of academics is available in the library of college. The important newspapers, magazines, and journals are also available there. Almost every facilities are available there only lacks is will of management. Enough sport and extra curricular activities are conducted in the college. There is annual sport event of Hansraj College in which inter departmental matches of different games are played. Even one department can have more than one team for a particular sport. There are many social groups and clubs. Some of them are NISHTHA(civil society), HARITIMA(environmental society), PRASTAV(debating society), SWARANJALI(music society),KAVYANJALI(poetry society) ,NCC, NSS and many more. The mentioned ones are most active societies of the college

Admission

Eligibility is that you must have from science background. The exam for the admission is CUET. The details of it are available on its official website. There is reservation of every categories. CUET is conducted once from May to June. The level of exam is easy compared to NEET, NDA etc. The counselling process of Delhi University is very good and smooth. I didn't do any paper work at the time of admission. I just went to college and started taking class

Faculty

4

There is 40 seats for my course but there are only 29 students in my class. Also all of them is not present at a given day. Yes, you there are only a bunch of students in my class. The teachers can focus all of them at the same time. So faculty-to-student ratio is great. Some teachers really help students one to one in labs. The labs and library staff is also very helpful. Some teachers are new and inexperienced so it impacts us in completing the syllabus. There is a mentor for every 10 student. Also some teachers are friendly we generally talk to them other than academics at end of the class.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
