In the 1st and 2nd semesters we studied subjects from every devision of engineering like EEE, Mech,EC,Civil,CS etc. From third year onwards we get into the core subjects of civil.2021 batch have 2019 scheme and from 2022 onwards scheme is updated. The carriculum prepare us for the realworld ,we have to do internship from 2nd year onwards. A drawback is that if they need to include current softwares related to civil other than STAAD and AUTOCAD. the advantage of cochin university is that they conduct the exams on time compared to other universities in kerala.And the exams are comparitively difficult than KTU.

we can do projects inside the campus for the last year .We can make use of the labs in the departments for the project with guides. CUSAT provide summer internships in various depatments like ICREP and internship in other departments like EC and IT.

The fee payment is done semester by semester.There is all india merit and state merit students.It is decided by the ranks in the CAT exam of cusat.. semester fee varies on each sem.It may increase or decrease.I am a state merit student and i paid 28k in my 7th semester and it was 25k in 6th semester. There is scholership for students of sc st and obc catagory. And reduction in semester fee.And there are other schemes for the students of this backward catagory and they have reservation in the college hostels also.

CUSAT have the best campus life.There are soo many programmes in the campus .we have our cultural fest SARGAM which is competition between different departments in cusat . Then we have the SOE Technical fest DISHNA which last for 4 days. The onam celebration of SOE is the most iconic one. We also have christmas celebrations and hostel fests .college conduct interuniversity spoorts competitions and we celebrate sports day .there is a basketball court batmindon court,football ground ,GYM fecilities in the campus.

I am staying in college hostel and there are 8 boys hostels and 6 girls hostels.They provide with spacious rooms with 3 seperate bed and 3 table and chair with well conditioned fan lights and ventilation. Common toilets are provied and its peace and calm atmosphere.they provide with homely and comferting food .They provide both veg and non veg food. Hostel rent is 500rs per month and for food it is 2000rs per month.Mess cut is also available

Candidates should pass 12th or equivalent board and have atleast 50% in their exams.The application will be in the cusat admission website.registration fee will be 1200 for general and obc and 600 for sc st reservations.the last date of registration was on march 15 2024. sc/st have fee of 200 to 300 rs per semester and Scholership money is provided by the college. the cat exam have questions from physics chemistry and maths.The difficulty of exam can be rated as a 7.5/10

Talking about the faculties in my department ,we have the student to faculty ratio to approx 1:30. every faculty atleast have MTech and most of them have PHD.Most of the faculty are passed out from renouned colleges like IIt, IISc etc.Their expertise contributes to quality education and guidance for students.Teachers are very approachable and supportive in my department.
