Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is really good from the perspective of commerce students and it can help you to learn different new concepts related to your field. The curriculum really prepared for the real-world if one wants to pursue different professional courses and what is the drawback is that more practical subjects can be included in the curriculum. The exams are held every 4 month of the sem and the difficulty level is moderate and once can easily score well by studying hard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for pursuing different courses are less than as it's a government college and around 45000 cost you can complete your graduation and there are many scholarships available for students which can be availed by the students in case they belong to a specific category or they are underprivileged then the fees get waive off.Student's welfare scholarships are available in the campus. There are numerous campus opportunities available the highest package goes upto 21.5 lac and average goes about 4lpa.There are numerous companies come like Bain, De shaw, ZS associates, Deloitte, Ey, Pwc, Ecom express, makemytrip, KPMG etc

Campus Life

4.5

Nexus is the annual festival of SVC. Its one of the best fest of DU college. This year star Mohit Chauhan was the performer and it was one of the superb concert ever. The library is really good and you can get many books related to different genres as availability is great in terms of books and journals. Classrooms are designed in a way with smart boards for more advancement in the class and giving quality education to students. The sports and extra curricular activities are better as many stars passed from this college like Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant etc. and yearly Palemo is organised as a part of Sports festival. There are many clubs and students started community service clubs and data science hub and it had a lot of impact in their life

Admission

The course eligibility is anyone belonging from any course can pursue this course with a good percentage in their board exams. The application details can be be easily seen on the portal and via that one can apply. During my time no CUET was there so the average cut off goes upto 97.5 for this course and it get close at 97.25 percentage. The reservation benefits are there if u belong to any specific category or quota there is a chance to get admission in less percentage. The difficulty level depends on your boards performance if you are good with Accounts, Economics and Maths this course is good to go. The improvement can be done like making the process more smoother as well as website should be under proper maintenance

Faculty

5

The faculties are really qualified and they teach in the best interest of the students and the ratio of the faculty for different subjects are more and one get a good learning experience. The teachers are not like professors but they act like mentor for future guidance and help

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is pretty expanded than before and the syllabus is very long and tough and sometimes it's difficult to complete in one semester and practical part of my course is also less and i think they should more practical and less theory exams in my course and sometimes the the syllabus of my course is very long in some semester so we face difficulty to complete the syllabus and didn't able to focus on practical par and there is very less practical part in my course and more theory so i think they have to focus more on practicals part and less theory and computer Lab in my college is also very less and some computer is not working and the students in class is many and the teacher is one so sometimes it's difficult to understand in computer with many students and i think they should put projector in class for better understanding and the theory exam in my course is also very lengthy and they give less time so it's difficult to complete on time and the marking scheme is also not appropriate

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a little interested in money management since childhood, that's why I chose B.Com because it teaches about money management. If we talk about the syllabus and how much it connects with the real world, then it is very little. We are taught the same old syllabus which has been changed a long time ago. Mainly in the accounts subject, first of all one should see what is going on in the real world and what is there in the syllabus. The same syllabus is repeated again and again while the world is changing very fast. The exams are improving but the syllabus needs improvement. The exam is going well

Students often get placement before their 3rd year or last semester is completed. Highest placement this year (2025) was around 32 lakhs p.a. but only a few get that kind of a placement. Average placement stays 4 lakhs p.a. in campus placements. Most students go through a good network on their own. My plan is to get a campus placement or a government job
