Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would read the course curriculum as relevant reasonably comprehensive for an undergraduate program It covers the basic and important subjects that are needed to understand commerce and business The curriculum prepares students well academically, especially for further studies such as postgraduate courses Our professional certifications.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities at Sri Venkateswara College are mainly facilitated through the Placement Cell and active student societies Companies like Deloitte EY KPMG Intern Shala and several startups offer internship in such roles as Research Intern content writing and analytics etc. Some internships are paid with stipends ranging from 5000 to 15,000 per month and some are unpaid too. Tasks usually include market research data analysis report making content creation and things like that This helps students gain practical exposure and real world skills.

Placement Experience

4

Placement set Sri Venkateswara College are moderate but improving. Students become eligible in the final year. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, accenture, PWC, TCS and Genpact etc visit the campus The average package is around 4 to 5LPA, while the highest goes up to 10-12 LPA For top profiles. Around 40 to 50% of students get placed while many prefer higher studies or professional courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee for B.com is around 22-23K Only tution fee applies for B.com and for examination you have to pay around 1500 rupees Many Performance based scholarship programs are also run by the college providing fee concession for student and their welfare

Campus Life

4

Campus life at SVC is vibrant and socially engaging. The annual fest Nexus is held around February-March. the library is well stocked with textbooks journals and online resources. Classrooms are basic but functional with projectors and Wi-fi. The college offers strong sports facility and many student run societies like NSS , Enactus, Bluechip finance societies and cultural clubs that add greatly to student lives

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are limited, and so many students prefer rented accommodations or PGs nearby hostel rooms are shared and provide basic facilities like beds tables, chairs, cupboards, fans and common washrooms. the mess serves Indian meals that are average in taste but hygienic. Hostel registration is merit and distance based making it affordable but competitive Many students stay in PG's or flats in Satya Niketan South Campus which is student friendly and generally safe

Admission

I chose this college mainly because of its academic reputation course structure and exposure compared to the other colleges I applied to I applied too few other colleges as well mostly within the same university offering similar courses And I chose this college over the others because I feel like the degree had higher value and the peer group was academically strong.

Faculty

4

The faculty members in my college are generally experienced and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Most professors have been teaching for many years and have a good understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the course. The faculty to student ratio is decent Although classes are sometimes large, professors still try to give attention to students who are generally genuinely interested in participate in class.

Interview Experience

4

I did not face any group discussions, interview or return test conducted by the college. Admissions to Sri Venkateswara College is fully centralized and based on CUET scores Selection depends on subject combinations category cut offs released through the DU CSAS portal CET consists of MCQs from subjects of Class 12 and a language test I prepared by revising basics practicing mock tests solving MCQs regularly.

Night Life

4

Nightlife around SVC is calm but enjoyable. The campus usually closes by evening, the library shuts by late afternoon, and the gym and canteens close by evening. Hostels have fixed in time Students usually hang out at Satya Niketan cafes, south Campus spots, or nearby complexes. The area is generally safe but students avoid roaming very late at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is pretty expanded than before and the syllabus is very long and tough and sometimes it's difficult to complete in one semester and practical part of my course is also less and i think they should more practical and less theory exams in my course and sometimes the the syllabus of my course is very long in some semester so we face difficulty to complete the syllabus and didn't able to focus on practical par and there is very less practical part in my course and more theory so i think they have to focus more on practicals part and less theory and computer Lab in my college is also very less and some computer is not working and the students in class is many and the teacher is one so sometimes it's difficult to understand in computer with many students and i think they should put projector in class for better understanding and the theory exam in my course is also very lengthy and they give less time so it's difficult to complete on time and the marking scheme is also not appropriate

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a little interested in money management since childhood, that's why I chose B.Com because it teaches about money management. If we talk about the syllabus and how much it connects with the real world, then it is very little. We are taught the same old syllabus which has been changed a long time ago. Mainly in the accounts subject, first of all one should see what is going on in the real world and what is there in the syllabus. The same syllabus is repeated again and again while the world is changing very fast. The exams are improving but the syllabus needs improvement. The exam is going well

Students often get placement before their 3rd year or last semester is completed. Highest placement this year (2025) was around 32 lakhs p.a. but only a few get that kind of a placement. Average placement stays 4 lakhs p.a. in campus placements. Most students go through a good network on their own. My plan is to get a campus placement or a government job
