Course Curriculum Overview

As I am in ECE department my course is much interesting that influenced me to take this department. According to the time of each semester teacher try to complete the course. Makaut's course very much old fashioned.

Internships Opportunities

College will gave you internship opportunities as much as you want. Companies like Triangle and etc gave you opportunities to get internship. I have no idea about any project work at our college as a first year student.

Placement Experience

Placement of our college is good according to our senior and we also saw some companies came to take interview and hire students. Average package is approximately 500000/annum. The good thing is every year there is 100% placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

When we came here to take admission they gave us a fee structure but after one semester they increase the fees upto 10000 per sem. So, at first in four years it was taking approx 400000 but now it increases to 500000.

Campus Life

AOT campus is the main attraction to new comers. The full green campus with two playground, three buildings one canteen and one swimming pool will give you different vibe. No doubt if you visit AOT you will get loved.

Admission

here you can take admission through WBJEE or JEE entrance exam's counseling process. If you're eligible for the course then you will get aplication form on those exam's website. There is no reservations benifits.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to students ratio is pretty much good. Some of our faculties are very good & interesting but honestly few are so much boring. Teachers helps us in many cases and doubts so I think teacher student interaction is good.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
