Course Curriculum Overview :

Course in du is outdated. It doesn't have a lot of insights about the present scenario. The economics curriculum is overall fine and provides you with a lot of knowledge about the concepts. The readings have a lot of case studies and examples too but a lot of these readings are of foreign authors so they don't have a lot of case studies of the Indian economy. Exams are conducted after every semester. The semester is around 4 months. Exams are usually in the month of May and then in December. Timings may vary but exams are conducted in the morning. The general elective exam is in the evening shift.

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester, you can sit for placements. Names of some companies who visited are PWC, De Shaw, Ey, Deloitte, E&Y, Zomato, Hcl tech, tresvista, Preferred Square, and some other not-so-big companies. The average package was 5 lakhs. The highest package was 30 lakhs offered by De Shaw. Profile offered was of analyst, sales, and operations. The percentage of students getting hired was not so high. Around 5 students in my class got placement offers. Only 10% of the students who applied got placement. My plan after my degree is to pursue Master's.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of Maitreyi are very affordable. It has one of the lowest fees within du colleges. The total cost of the First semester was around 7000 rs. The total cost of the Second semester was around 8000 rs Total cost of the Third semester was around 9000 rs. With the implementation of NEP, the fees have increased a bit for the new batch. The scholarships are for economically weaker students and academically good students too. There is a placement cell in the college. I have not taken any employment because I wanted to go for higher studies but 3-4 students in my class got employment in the big 4 companies.

Campus Life :

Festivals in my college include the Annual fest, Diwali Mela, Freshers, women's Day, department fest, etc. The college celebrates almost every festival with huge pomp and show. There is dj set up and various stalls are also there. There is also a placement fare. The library is average. You can find all the books from your curriculum. Though it doesn't have the latest editions. There is a Wi-Fi facility. ACs are there in the library. The library also has laptops and a printout facility. The sports ground of the college is not so big but there are a few sports like basketball. NCC is also there. NCC students are given proper training. Extracurricular activities are in the form of societies. Some societies are Enactus, Fashion society, dance, singing, eco, placement, commerce, etc. There is a student portal where you can check your attendance and internal marks.

Admission :

I was in the last batch that took admission by merit of board scores. Now students have to give cuet pg to get admission. I don't have a lot of ideas about cut off but it is not on the higher side. The application form of cuet can be found on the nta website. You can select the college according to your preference on the DU UG website when the application starts. Reservations are according to du norms. Exams are difficult in nature. They require a lot of understanding of important concepts. You need to work extremely hard because economics is not a very easy subject.

Faculty :

The faculty is overall good. Teachers try to make concepts clear. They also acknowledge doubts and are overall friendly in nature. Faculty to student ratio is fine. There were around 50 students in my class so the ratio is of 1:50. Most of the teachers also reply privately on WhatsApp if you have any doubts. My only problem was they did not solve a lot of numerals in the class. The classes mainly consisted of theory concepts. They sometimes used to give real life examples and presentations too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I pursued a bachelor's of arts hons. In applied psychology. The name itself shows that it is an applied science field and must contain field visits and hands-on experience for more applied knowledge and experience but there was nothing done of sorts to expand our knowledge base about practical application of principles. But apart from this, the theoretical knowledge was vast which gave us enough knowledge about the theories and stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the case of courses, ignore offers a lot of courses that I teach. It depends on the student. If you have to only focus on your main subject (like economics after all business), they give you various types of courses in their university, but it seems it was distance learning, so proper guidance will not be provided by the university. But I took my BAM (bachelors).

Course Curriculum Overview:

At first, didn't seem very relevant but slowly, gradually as you dwell more depeer and start researching about the texts or novels or dramas that were there in the curriculum, it starts making more sense and you can actually relate to all of it in a much better way. But ofcourse it takes time and effort to do so.

Talking about the course I will not suggest much people to opt for the BA course until u r really up for the government thing or u r into Arts studies because apart from that this course doesn't offer much but yes go for it in our college because the faculty is really educated and well trained for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course structure is comprehensive as I am from a language course so for me it's quite hard to manage alongwith the optional course that is compulsory in graduation. The faculty is equipped with the language lab for the audio and visual experience to the students. The exams are conducted on the regular basis, 4 exams including first sessional second sessional mid term and end sem. The difficulty levels depend on the Professors mood.
