Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course has a deadly combination (Geography and Political Science),but there is a lack of field studies there must be a field visit for the better understanding of the subject.Trips should be included in the course.

Internships Opportunities

4

College provides regular internship opportunities to the students...on 16th of February there were many companies came and gave opportunities to the students. I didn't participated in it that's I don't have idea about stipend.

Placement Experience

5

From the last semester 6th students becoming eligible for the placement. Many companies like whipro visited and the maximum salary is 23lpa and average is 5lpa. I'm in the first yr so I don't have much idea about placement. I'll prepare for the Civil Services.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission to DU, I paid Rs.20175 for the course BA PROGRAMME (GEOGRAPHY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE). My friend has also paid the same for admission. College also gave an financial assistance scholarship to the needy students. Principal sir is very supportive to their students. He tries his hard to give the required and utmost best facilities to his students.

Campus Life

5

Annual events like vividh, dipotsav, swaraj etc are held .Name of the some events changes annually and accordingly. Library has ample of books and journals and all of them are accessible. Some of the classrooms are well equipped with modern technology whereas some the classrooms are very primitive in nature and even lacks smart boards. Extra curricular activities are also held regularly by the different societies. Yess ,Vice-President runs a NGO which helps the needy children.

Admission

I applied for all the top colleges of DU and my marks was also sufficient for the allocation of that colleges but unfortunately I made mistake in making my preference list that's why despite of having good marks I got allotment of this college. But now I'm satisfied with my alloted college. No it was my first allotment and I fridged my seat in the first round that's why I didn't get rejected. Admission in my college is purely based on the criteria mentioned under DU Admission. CUET marks is required to clear the cutoff of the preferred colleges. Most preferred courses are BA POLITICAL SCIENCE (Hons.), B.Com(Hons.),BA PROGRAMME.

Faculty

5

The faculities are one of the most qualified and trained professors of India.Their qualifications are too impressive. They always guide us which help in our preparation. They are very cooperative towards the students. All the professors are good but there are some professors whom I like and they're Dr.Rityusha Mani Tiwari Ma'am ,Kamlesh Kumari Ma'am ,Sangeeta Ma'am ,& Rajeev Ranjan Sir. Their teaching way is too impressive. And they make their presence in our class in such a way that we had created a bond with them. Exams are also held in a good manner .

Night Life

5

We hangout in the room of one of my friends Piyush Anand. I didn't like one thing about my college that I don't provides hostels Library of the college and a place called "authority ''. Inside the college - library, canteen, ground and flag garden.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
