The campus was really beautiful and nice.
Syllabus was best . Subjects like Quantum Computing was taught there.
Huge no of professor available so many research opportunities are available for students.

Dislikes

The schedule they make for classes and semester , it's a pressure cooker system.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think IITG has the best course curriculum. Teaching maybe not great but some of the professor are really great and superb at teaching. Exam levels are not that hard but yes it's standard. I really enjoyed the 2 years of my masters there.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities are there at in-campus and off-campus . Summer internship and winter internship opportunities are there which you can avail some of them are paid and some of them are just for your experience.

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester and 4semseter you can apply for campus placements. For msc physics majority Ed tech companies are comes to hire like Allen, resonance, narayana etc . Almost 95% students placed who applied for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee as really low . I think there was no major hike an tution fees over the years . There are many good scholarships available which you can avail easily such as MCM scholarship. To avail MCM scholarship you just need to maintain cpi 7

Campus Life

The main annual festival of IITG is alcheringa and there are tech festival named as Techniche and also there is sport fastival named as Spirit, Spardha etc. Almost all the books are available at liabary. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and huge . There are many clubs at campus such as robotics, dance , drama , photography, coding etc .

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are nice for one person but at first year you have shared with another partner which is not great but after 1 year of your masters at the final year you will get your single room . Meal quality is not that great .

Hostel Fee: INR 7500 per year

Admission

Eligibility: B.sc physics with 60% Application: you can apply at all the IIT's or masters of science via clearing iit jam exam held in 2nd week of February. Difficulty level: IIT jam is not that hard you have prepared all the topic mentioned in syllabus and practice pyqs .

Faculty

Faculties are gem of the the institution , they are highly qualified and really nice human beings also . Some of the are very supportive as like your elder brother or family member. They are very concern about your progress.

In Msc courses, there are no placements offered by the institute. However the institute of technology offers placements for btech and mtech students. The highest package this year was 12LPA and the average package was 8 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The geography department at the university is good. The department is small, with a maximum of 30-40 students in each class. This helps in good interaction with the teachers and avoids congestion. The teachers are good and very cooperative. They help the students in every way, be it academic or extra-curricular activities. The department takes part in university activities actively. The teachers also help and are actively involved. All the teachers in the department have PhDs. Teachers use theory as well as practical knowledge to teach the subject. Computers, smart phones, and journals are also used by them. They clear every doubt of the students and also, if necessary, they teach topics beyond the syllabus for future help. The exams are conducted on time. And the question pattern is challenging for the students.

Remarks:

NIT SILCHAR is one of the technological institutes of national importance established in the year 1950, one of the core learning centre for sciences and technology in north east, gaining spectacular growth in last few years it has secured 10th place out of 31 colleges, having the Asia's largest digital library, your life circle of 7 lives would not be enough to compete all the books, the lush green environment and its location on southern side of kashi hills makes it a magnetic centre for knowledge thus lives. The patron of education and the spice of knowledgeable people from across the country under a 695 acres of land compressing of more than 5000 students is all I can describe my college, words fall short apart. Negative remark as such is its isolation from ROI it takes almost 1½ day to reach West Bengal from Silchar, road connectivity is less and even the climate is unpredictable here the funniest part is I have experienced all 3 seasons in a single day, morning it was raining at afternoon it was sunny and night I was chilled out
