Deshbandhu college: an unidentified gem

There's a prejudice for history that history is all about learning dates, but it's not true. In Delhi university it is absolutely not true. The course has recently been revised (year before last year), which makes it more relevant. The courses does not just tell about the paper but make it parallel with contemporary circumstances. There are 9 core classes in a week. Exams are held on the semester basis and its difficulty level is moderate. Previous year question papers help too much in exams.

Tuition fee of the college is very less. For all humanities courses without practical subject it's just 13601 per year, which is too affordable. Apart from the tuition fee there's only examination fee which depends on the number of subjects which is also very convenient. So it shows that college is very affordable. There are some schemes of scholarship like vice chancellor financial aid and many more. There are almost negligible campus employment opportunities.

The campus life of the college is too good. The crowd of the college is too diverse which makes it a better place. College organize an annual fest named Sabrang which is held in the month of March or April. There are full fledged working library, labs and classrooms. College offer so many sports like volleyball, Kabaddi and archery and organise and participate in many tournaments. College also offers so many extra curricular activities like NCC, NSS and many more things. There are so many clubs for almost every skill. There is 30+ clubs which include dancing society, singing society, theatre society, journalism society, debating society and many more. All these sports extra-curricular activities and clubs help in the personality development of the students. It fosters confidence and removes the stage fear.

The admission process was very Swift and easy. Admission is based on the CUET score. If you get a satisfactory score in CUET you will be able to take admission in the college. Eligibility criteria is that you have to twelfth pass. Admission process is governed by the CSAS portal of Delhi University.

The faculty is very friendly and kind. Besides classes, one can contact them anytime they are very responsive. They help in doubt solving as well. There's is almost 1 teacher for every 30 student. All the professors are experienced and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is so interesting and interactive. Apart from just academia they also guide for daily life problems.
