I have choose this course because I have interest in coding and i want to develop such apps that can help the world . Some teachers need Improvements to deliver the concepts . Wo get so much times to prepare for the exams

Class Size: 57Course Fees: INR 638900 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete course Btech for Computer science and engineering is around 5-6lakh all the charges are included. There is no scholarship provided from college but there is government scholarship name Swami vivekananda Scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life has so much fun there are lots of activity you can enjoy. The library is also good you can get all the books you need. Sports activity is also great and there is tournament you can play.

Admission

I have given the entrance exam name wbjee and i scored well and i apply for the TFW after that i get admission. There were only 9seats for the TFW students. You can find the application form in the the official website of Siliguri Institute of Technology.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is 2:10. The learning experience is good because of some teachers and there is an open door policy also so that whenever a student has doubts, they can directly go to the teacher's cabin and clear their doubts.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
