- The food in canteen is very reasonable with a lot of options available as well.
- Campus is pretty with a wide variety of flowers everywhere.
- Walking distance from metro station, good places to hangout nearby.
Dislikes
- Dealing with the adminstration office and other formalities can be a very challenging task.
- Some of the classrooms are very small and haven't been cleaned properly. There's often a layer of dust on benches.
- Time table is hectic with classes till 5pm
Course Curriculum Overview
The applied psychology course at SPM is one of the top courses the college offers, with experienced faculty and relevant syllabus. The research experience is highly stressed upon. Mentorship is also provided on future aspects of the field. Exams however focus more on theoretical understanding and are very lengthy.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for each year is around 9000 which makes it very reasonable. This includes complete cost and all compulsory charges. However there is no campus employment opportunity available for the students.
Campus Life
The psychology department does hold a lot of webinars, talks, functions, etc. There are also a lot of opportunities like being part of writing, arts, or social media team within the department. The college also has nss, ncc, and sports, along with dance, theatre and literature societies. The classrooms are however not well ventilated with only a few fans, there are projectors in classrooms. The library is extensive with a lot of books available under many sections.
Admission
The admission in 2021 was based on class 12th scores, the cut off being 96% in best four. Admissions are now based on CUET-ug scores as per NEP. The cuet exam is of moderate difficulty level and the application process is very simple.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good with a lot of professors ready to guide at every step. Apart from a few, most professors are punctual and well versed. They are easily approachable and promote interaction as much as possible.
