Course Curriculum Overview
As my course is history honours and it was my preference as well, so I'm full satisfied with it. The curriculum of the course is relevant and covers a 360 degree view in all the discipline specific subjects. As far as now, I found nothing contradictory according to the syllabus but to suggest more diverse subject choice would help maybe. the timing for the semester exams is 3 hours and the test conducted in the class for internals is around 45 minutes which is apt for the college students. The difficulty level of the exams depends on the subject but still most of the papers are of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
The intership options are open for even the freshers and companies like Zomato, swiggy, organisations atteched to du and helpdesks. Even the college provide with the notification for internship in governmental fields and ministries.
Placement Experience
Hindu college has decent placement background, and for my course as it is of humanities so there is not much scope for on campus placement but most of the people opt it for higher studies and for sutting in entrance exams like UPSC, SSC and so on. And the companies that visit the campus are from around the country and most candidates look up to them. There is also a general trend for internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees now is 25000/year but previously it was only 17000, reason is not specificied but yet the fees is really low. Totally cost of just my education excluding the living costs is around 30000/year including all the stationary and everything . There are a lot of scholarships provided and our college sends reminders to students but it is solely dependent on student to apply for it, college is oñly going to help providing for it and in the application process
Campus Life
The fest of the Hindu du college, i.e Mecca is very renowned all over the Delhi university and among the other fests in colleges. It is the most awaited fest for Delhi University. There are also annual departmental fests and society fests as well. And they are of the highest joy. The classrooms are fully equipped with the furniture and projectors for presentations in each class. Even the new and recent academic buildings have very good ventilation. There is a sports complex, plus a huge sports ground in the college where the annual fest also takes place. The sports equipment is also upto the mark with a gym. We have competing teams for various sports that represent the college at various events. The environment of the college is very diverse and conducive and adds to the knowledge of the students. Social amicability is considered as you get to interact with diverse people of diverse backgrounds
Admission
The admission and application process was online mode and if carefully attended one could easily pass all the criteria of it. The documentation process is also simple. The admission was through the CUET score and the minimum score of my course was 720/800. The exams is of very moderate level along with easy ones. The admission level could be more easily accessible.
Faculty
The faculty of the Hindu College most of the departments is quite learned and experienced. My department faculty has good teaching experience and is mostly available to all the students, this is based on my personal experience. They are always ready to help, be it any issue. Apart from class interaction with the students, we can ask for their help in academics at any time. Most of the teachers themselves volunteer for help apart from academics.
