Detailed review of USTM

The reason I chose this course is because I live in a biodiversity hotspot area, ASSAM. And I wanted to learn more about the various trees and flora present here, the curriculum helped me gain more knowledge and understanding regarding this. One of the important I would like to ask for is a smart room. Yes, there are smart rooms but some of the projectors are non-functional. Besides the timing of exam is really unusual they finish one semister in 4 months

Various companies like star cement , bandhan Bank , ICICI , Wipro ,SBI and many more banks offered internship , some of them offered stipend ranging from 10-15k but most of them didn't offer any paid internship

The final years student are eligible for campus placements , many banking companies visited the campus and the average package was 15-25k the highest was 54k ... I don't know the exact student percentage who got the placement but it was quite good

The Tution fees are based on the semister-wise which is 30000 for my course and it depends on the courses, the overall cost was 5.5lacs for me and other compulsary charges include hostel fees, security deposit, and library fees

There are many festivals like youth sports fest and games week, which are held mostly in July-august, further, there are sports coaches for various sports including football, badminton, MMA, basketball, volleyball, handball, arm wrestling, powerlifting, bodybuilding, horseriding and many more. There are many books and journals available in the library.

Hostel facility is not upto the mark , though rooms are clean there is 24/7 electricity and water and also free wifi is available (just for show) .the main issue is food , the food is really trash here in the hostels of ustm even though we tried to complain several times but no action was taken so far.

Admission process depends on your higher secondary form . Form fillup can be done online , registration can be done online and later u can visit the campus for offline documents verification and admission procedure... Scholarship is also available for deserving candidates

Faculty to student ratio is really optimal, it's almost like 1:20, regular doubt sessions are organised, faculties are mostly PhD holders and all the faculties are friendly, especially my department (BOTANY) The teachers are soo good you can get interact with them whenever you want regarding any topic or explanation or doubts
