The rising College from Shillong.

There is just no bad remark about the college. Its one of the best college in the northeast of India. It provides the perfect environment t for a student to study and accomplish its dream.

There was no entrance examination for admission into this college , but there was a short interview with the college principal. This was done to ensure that the student is in proper studying condition and to analyse the personality. There was no reason to not select this college as thus is one of best upcoming colleges in Shillong you can go for. I had my mind preselected for this college and when I got the opportunity I took it.

There a re a lot of good courses in the college. You can opt for literature to life science to a variety of physical science courses in the college. There are a whole lot of assignments projects field trips, extra work going on in the college all the time. So it really heightens the students knowledge.

The college provides a lot of government scholarship like the NEC book grant which ranes from Rs 1000 to around Rs 15000. They are provided easily to the worthy candidate and mist of the works is done of the college office.

There is a placement cell in the college which takes care of all the placement of the college. Most of the information is not made public. But there is enough opportunities for the graduates of this college to make it on there own even if there is no companies coming after them. There are also opportunities given by the college to work on some other things that can be utilised by the students.

This college really knows how to celebrate and create a big splash. The whole academic year is full of different events being hosted by the college. We recently celebrated our college week in the college which was a great success. There was a seminar on cancer organised by the chemistry department which saw the press CE oa a renowned oncologist of meghalaya and there was a huge participation from all the students. There were also some other seminars organised by different departments. There was a 2 day mushroom cultivation seminar as well.

Being one of the best colleges in Shillong , most others would think that the fee of the college would be really of the chart but its not lime that. It is one of the lowest fee taking college in the state. It also allows the flexibility of giving the fee in two installments. For Bsc its 14810 in one installments and 2700 in other for arts its is 9410 in one and 2700 in other.

There are a lot of good government t scholarship provided by the college. For eg NEC Scholarship, Some tribal scholarship and a whole of it is provided by the college to the worthy students.

The campus life is one of the best in the state. The gender ratio is equal with equal number of girls and boys. There is a whole lot of student organised parties one can take part in every month with tibal fresher's an a whole lot. There are a lot of workshops going on In the college specially done by the botany department. There is no harassment or whatsoever done in the college due to race color or anything. The college environment is clean and really enjoyable.

The college really caters for all the need of the college. There is a woman's hostel as well provided by the college. It is mentored by the teachers of our college and it features some of the best class facilities with really clean atmosphere some great dining halls and even greater rooms. The mess of the college hostel is really good it provides nutritious food at the right amount. The Cleanliness of the food is also really good. The hostel is Rs 6000 per month.

The senior students hey are really helpful , they help the juniors in the best they can, u just have to to approach them and they will do there best. The senior students also guide the student the right way , and helps in studies and also by providing essential notes and all.

The exam structure of the college is really good , it conducts monthly test for all the graduating students regularly to keep a check on the knowldege of the student and also to help them keep improving. There are also practical test in the college. After these monthly test are conducted there are also assignments test and a lot of class test oral test as well.

After the class 12 results were announced there a NOTICE on the college website and in the campus. I had to take the college prospectus fill in the form and submit it. If the class 12 marks are good spot admission is also given otherwise you had to wait for the list of selected student.

Most of the teaching faculty of the college is really cooperative. They really take the career of the students really seriously and help them in building there future and they are more than just qualified to do so. A large number of teachers are post graduate in there fields and a number of them have complete there doctorate as well which really helps the student in any kind of trouble.
