Awesome college experience

Union Christian College have a potential to provide a vast experience and overall development to students which makes an individual stronger to lead a prosperous life and the ability to see the life through different perspectives.

Course Curriculum and Exam structure are according to Mahatma Gandhi University. A student can attain vast knowledge about the subject and can attain some research skills also. There are 2 internal exams and 1 external exams at the the end of every semesters.

Many companies used to visit college to hire final year students every year.Most of departments provide a change to go for internships. It is a good experience to explore and increase students knowledge about the subject. Most of PhD student get stipend from government as they qualified for NET and JRF.

There are lot of events celebrated in the college. Many famous personalities are usually invited as chief guest for most of the events. Some events that usually celebrated are College day, Union day, Teachers day, Onam, Christmas, Arts day, Sports day etc.

Fees are paid semester wise.Here fees are very feasible.Most of the departments are government aided. For them fees are too less. For self financing departments fees will come around 11,000- 20,000 each semester.

There are different scholarships which is provided by both government and college management to students who are economically and socially backward, academically well or students who are well in arts or sports.

There are lot of extra curricular activities including sports, arts, National Service Scheme, National Cadets corps, various clubs etc.There are very good labs for different departments with all equipments which is essential for students. There is a good library with lot of books.

Hostels in this college gives a special environment to students which should be experienced and it is unexplainable. There are 7 hostels under the college.5 are girls hostel, 1 is boys hostel and other one is sports hostel.

There is a good alumni network. College usually conduct alumni reunion every year. Many aluminis are still contributing to college for the future development of the college. Senior students always depicted as roll models for junior students.

I applied for single window allotment in Mahatma Gandhi University portal.I also applied for management quota in the college. My name was there, when the college shortlisted for seats under management quota.Then I took admission there.

All faculities are very much eligible. Most of the faculties have lot of experiences and have dedication for their profession. Some faculties are famous too for their contributions. Teacher - student relationship is well maintained here.
