The accommodation and mess are also good the rooms are big and the food in mess are very good .The cleanliness and quality of food is also good

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum in the college is pretty good it covers all the aspects of becoming a sea-worthy officer and will help us to gain knowledge about the duties on board. The curriculum will provide both theoretical and practical knowledge. Each semester is of 6 months and can be easily covered by a period of time.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 325000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

College is charging a total of 325000 for one year and 25000 as a caution deposit and we have to pay 25000 every year to Imu. The complete cost may take about 11 lakhs. All the tution fees and service fees are included in this.

Campus Life

The campus will help you to be a punctual and well-disciplined cadet when you have finished your course and leaving from the campus. There are various tech fest and other programs where we can showcase our skills and knowledge.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is that you must have PCM-60% and English -65% in 12th standard. And after that, you have to write the Imucet entrance exam and you have to come inside the cut off . The exam is basically of the 12th difficulty level.

Faculty

The faculties here at HIMT College are very cooperative and well-trained. Most of the faculties are Captains and Engineers who have work experience in the ship for more than 3 years. Most of them are having real life experience, so they are able to explain the various duties of officers and Engineers onboard.

Good Learning Environment But need more Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.

Never go behind the hype giving by agencies

From semester 5 the students will be eligible for the placements .there is no particular placement classes for the students.Students have to separately prepare for it by their own.By naan mudhalvan scheme many companies have visited our college but most of them are the start up companies and average package will be 2 LPA And 3LPA will be the highest package.Many students got placed from many departments like40%.
