Course Curriculum Overview

5

I pursue in electrical engineering because from the initial days are got the deep interest in design and implementation of electrical systems . In thapar the curriculum is up to date accordingly to the real world applications. The current curriculum is so well designed that I can be part of many real life projects based on electrical systems. Areas for improvement in course is that they should be more focus on the project based studies. In each semester the exams are held twice one mst and one est along with lab evaluations and quizzes. Difficulty level for exam is medium

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many companies like tata motors, TVs, Bajaj, apple ,Google ,volove that are coming to provide internships with average stipend around 30k per month Roles offered are depend on the company status .I have done two projects one is regarding the robotics arm.

Placement Experience

5

After the 6 semester students are eligible for placements but after the 3semster onwards students can apply for internships. From 6semster onwards there are many companies like for electrical engineering students are Bajaj, maruti, Volvo, TVs,samsung, hero etc and many more. The average package for electrical students should be around 7.5 lakhs. And the highest package in our campus is 50lakhs around. As per the offical data provide by faculties there are around 80 percent students got placement out of 100. My plan is to get the placements in a good company with good package and if I didn't make it then I go for MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee for each semester is depend on the which branch you pursue in thapar. So according to electrical engineering branch our semester tution fee is around 1.5 lakhs, and hostel feee is around 50k. Including other facilities. The complete cost of education in 4 years should be around 20 lakhs. But there are lot of scholarships for the students who are getting top grade in each semester and other scholarships also according to financial conditions of the families.

Campus Life

5

The social life in thapar is very astonishing we have many many festivals for fun and entertainment in our campus like virsa , izhaar, sat which is biggest of all . Sat is 3 day event in which there are many activities that we can do like bhangar, folk dance , acting , singing etc The most astonishing fact about thapar is that it has India' s number one private University library. You can be amazed if you visit it there are many journals and all types of for branches related courses are available. Now come to sports and events, there are many sports. Events related to sports like cricket, football, badminton, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, chess etc . The ground ls are full prepared and are in good condition. There are many societies which are run by the students. These societies have a great impact on the students life like interaction in these societies improve communication skills of a student and provide real life situations to deal with

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel room facilities are bed with sofa, chair , study table, proper lights, study lamp light, almari, ac, attached bathroom. Etc There is different menu for each day , meal quality is very good with proper hygiene. Registration process is quite simple you have to fill hostel allotment form then accordingly room are allocated. There are many PG for the students who are interested. But I am not sure about the safety of outside environment.

Admission

For eligibility for admission in thapar campus we have two options one is through PCM marks and another is through jee mains. PCM percentage should be greater then 85 for admission in top branches. First you have to fill the admission form then if you have sufficient marks then they call for further documentations. application forms are generally out in month of April to may and fee is 1500rs. There are also various test to upgrade the branches like December test this test is more of like jee main if you got rankings in this them you got selected for branch upgradation. For improvement in admission process I thought that there should be more testing procedures should be involved like reasoning aptitude etc

Faculty

5

I think the main strength of our campus is that we have the best teacher in India. All teaches have to pursue PHD to eligible to teach in thapar institute. Teachers are very well educated and updated according to the new teaching skills that are required nowadays. The communication between the students and teachers is very effective. We can approach any teacher according to our requirements. Here teachers are very supportive for those who want to do something. Student to teacher ratio is 1/20

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course will be completed on time, but you'll not get taught as you expected. The teaching techniques are boring, and you'll have difficulty. They charge you 2000 rupees as late fees for submission and so on, for the late exam fees as well. There are a lot of unnecessary fees that they will apply once you get admission there

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
