Likes

The teacher to student ratio is pretty good, almost a 1:1. The classes are held in a seperate air-conditioned complex, full speed wifi is present. Also labs are situated in department and lab complex(Ramanujan Complex)
Communication is good, the campus being large we travel in cycles most of the time. Also, Bus services are present for class timings
Hostels are pretty good, equipped with necessities like water cooler, purifier and such. Wifi connectivity is ok, lan port are there for every student.

Dislikes

Communication to the outside of campus is pretty bad, only option are shared auto and bus which are not frequent, and toto is always there but it charges much.
Library although very good but fails to give online access to books.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum has a slight problem, it is not properly ordered. An example of this is Mathematical statistics being in our final semester core paper. However, there are electives in the third semester that require math-statistics as a prerequisite. There are a few subjects like these that need to be taught earlier and a few that need to be taught later.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is pretty meager, 1000 per month this is named as an assistantship for a 2-year MSc. No other scholarship is offered generally to the M.sc students. On average 50k is being spent each semester including hostel and tution and all the other fees.

Campus Life

Campus Life is pretty good, there are a lot of things to do around here involving sports, arts, and any hobby. Two fests are organized every year: Kshitij and Spring fest. Both occur in winter. Libraries are equipped with a diverse choice of books, on almost every topic. Online access is available via which you can learn which book is available to lend.

Admission

The admission is through the JAM exam. To be eligible for admission, you should complete your bachelor's degree. Usually, students of the 4-6 semester give jam (depending on the university they are). This exam is conducted the second week of February.

Faculty

Faculties are pretty qualified, all of them with phd and more than one postdoc. The ratio is almost 1:1. Communication with teachers is usually done via mail. Although few professors often don't inform us about the assignments or class tests via mail and it becomes a hassle to learn about this information from classmates.

Placement Experience:

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good.But if you are looking for placement I would suggest to join M Stat or MSQE rather than M Math. M.Math students mostly go for higher studies. Regarding you will better recommendations in ISI.
