the good faculty lab and facilities and the student study environment

So VLSI design in bachelors is a very new course and does not much universities in India that provide this course, we are mentored by mtech faculty who have great knowledge in this field of research colleges affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam University Trivandrum most of the teachers ask us to focus on the technical side rather than the theoretical side in order to developer skills and we have help from the seniors and other passed out students

the campus placements are really good the aluminium network and are faculty brings the placement to the college and also also the placement cell of the college works really hard to ensure most of the students get placed and the highest package of this year is around 52 lpa CTC bhai final year almost I was 80% of the students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

under general merit category the fees is like comparatively less than other universities and they also provide for economically weaker classes and people who fall out in the sc st category and also scholarship for students who are very good with the academics

Campus Life

the campus life is a little bit limited but the tech fest called Excel is considered to be South India's second largest Tech fest by various media's and also there is a art and sports fest conducted by the college union

Admission

admission process is done through keam exam and people can also apply through NRI quota using 12th marks where fees are a lil bit high . aadi Kim exam is the engineering and medical exam of Kerala state government and the cut off rank is 10k

Faculty

highly qualified and really helpful in everything and most of the senior faculty in the code department have really good knowledge about the subjects second year most of the teachers are really good inventory and they give us future insights and give just more knowledge about how one can get placed or how one can pursue higher education

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
