The course in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is quite okay with current industrial demand. But in terms of co circular, it lacks quite a bit. The campus is very small and there is no room for physical activities. The faculty with respect to studies is really good but other aspects, do not exist at all. This makes the college quite boring to attend with nothing to look forward to except studies. The teaching in Goenka is really good for those who already have an idea about what is being taught but it lacks behind in making the students understand who are new to the topics. This is most probably due to the high cut off and expectations of teachers but that doesn't change the fact that the teaching should be a little slow and methodical so that every student can interact. The final exams of 80 marks are held every semester during Jul-Sep and Jan-Mar. It may vary according to your semester. An internal examination is held before the final exams which is of 10 marks.

I haven't applied for any internships from college yet. But there are number of opportunities for students in Goenka College of Commerce. Many internship programmes are sent by teachers in WhatsApp groups.

Fees of Goenka college is really low compared to other colleges since it is government funded. It usually ranges from Rs. 800-1300 depending on your semester. Many scholarship schemes are also available. Campus Placements are also held every year.

Overall experience of college life is quite poor in Goenka College of Commerce. An Annual fest is held every year by students other than that it's really rare for any functions to be held. The library has the necessary books required for study of the course and maybe a couple of books from other topics. The facilities available in College is adequate for the course, nothing too extraordinary. Sports and extracirrcular activities are not available at all except a few carrom boards with pieces missing and a table tennis table. Clubs are also absent.

The application process was seamless and the eligibility criteria for unreserved category is an aggregate of 75% and other categories have some relaxations. The number of seats available is 549 and the clases start from the month of July. Application form can be found in the Goenka admission website after the results of HS is declared. The admission process is merit based and there are no such entrance exams. The frequency of exams is quite less compared to private and other govt. college of different states. Goenka college holds one or two nternal examinations before the final exams which is of 10 marks in each paper. The time given to complete all papers is 2 hours. The main final exam which is held by the Calcutta University is of 80 marks each. Depending on the subjects the segregation of marks may vary. The final exam papers are quite tough compared to other Universities and the exams have to appeared by the students in different colleges each semester.
