Course Curriculum Overview
The particular course that I am enrolled in, that is, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is expected to grow a lot in the coming years. The curriculum however should include more real world application projects and internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year, the students are eligible for placements. The placement record is not quite good. Most of the packages offered are between INR 2.5 to 5 LPA. However, there are a few packages which might be considered decent, like INR 9 LPA. After getting the degree, if I get a really good package either on campus or off campus, I will accept it. Otherwise, I will consider completing my post graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees is really affordable as compared to other private institutions all over India. The complete fees is Rs 44,000 per semester which includes tuition fees, service fees and other compulsory charges.
Campus Life
Not much annual and technical festivals happen in the college. However, GDSC is that one club which continuously is involved in organising several tech related competitions and events. The Library is well equipped with a large amount of books. All the classrooms are equipped with projectors but there are not air conditioned. The sports club is quite active and there are several extracurricular activities one can take part in. There are over 20 clubs that are run by students.
Admission
In order to get admission, one should have appeared in atleast any one of the two exams- Joint Entrance Exam(JEE Mains) or West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). However, one can also get direct admission but a limited number of seats are reserved for direct admission. JEE Mains takes place twice a year, the first attempt in January and second attempt in April. WBJEE takes once a year in the month of May.
