Course Curriculum Overview

The course is affiliated with PTU more of theory only. IBM Initiative though helps there, there is other industry alliance too.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they provide, but rarely. we are required to try ourselves for it. The average stipend is 8000 rs. sometimes free internship also we get.

Placement Experience

3.5

Approx 60% are placed. all types of companies come and give handsome packages to us. It's onto us whether to join them or not. Though Bulk hiring makes us wait for the letter of appointment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not much affordable, but to get something one must be open to spending the amount. The Placement cell of the college is good. They need to spend more time in the practical training of students only then they can do well.

Faculty

Few are good but fresher are least interactive. The campus has all types of faculty First Grade to Third. All in all good. I enjoyed

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.

Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily.
