Course Curriculum Overview

The course is affiliated with PTU more of theory only. IBM Initiative though helps there, there is other industry alliance too.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they provide, but rarely. we are required to try ourselves for it. The average stipend is 8000 rs. sometimes free internship also we get.

Placement Experience

Approx 60% are placed. all types of companies come and give handsome packages to us. It's onto us whether to join them or not. Though Bulk hiring makes us wait for the letter of appointment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not much affordable, but to get something one must be open to spending the amount. The Placement cell of the college is good. They need to spend more time in the practical training of students only then they can do well.

Few are good but fresher are least interactive. The campus has all types of faculty First Grade to Third. All in all good. I enjoyed

PEC - History and optimism

Likes

The campus is over 100 years old and has strong alumini network.
Placements are good as per my rank in JEE
Peer group is good and there are diversed people all around

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really old; but then again legacy comes at a cost.
Campus is smaller as compared to NITs and IITs ; so is the funding
Its still not an institute of national importance. Has no nation wide recognition

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Syllabus is good, it is very versatile and updated according to the industry standards
The University also has a good events and also a good night life
The infrastructure is very modern with unique outlets to eat in

There is a uniform system which is very bad according to university
Very strict rules regarding in and out of the University
The outlets in university are quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read

Good facilities, really teaches student and give individual attention in class too
Good infrastructure , as it was just built in 2021, the infrastructure is top notch and no complaints about it.
Papers are being checked anonymously, one’s paper can be checked by any teacher in any campus, so no chance of partiality

Dislikes

80% strict attendance criteria other they would not allow to sit in exam
Passing criteria is 40% and grading system is also bery difficult, two D grade is 1 F and more than 2F could lead to year repeat year, not even semster
Alot of assigments, really hectic at times

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily.
