Course Curriculum Overview
In my course, the 1st year is not worth it because we have maths and science subjects but from the 2nd year we got the main subjects like dsa, web dev and many more. curriculum from the 2nd year onwards is good as we get a great exposure with the computer applications.
Placement Experience
The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in our college are very affordable even for backward class students for sc, st students, also there are many scholarships for students that allow them to not pay their tution fees. There are no stipend awards for working for college works like College Fest they just get experience for their future work like how things actually work.
Campus Life
Our college's annual fest name is Apratim which is a quite decent fest. Our library is really good as it has many books and a large open area for students. We got many sports but we do have their grounds in good condition, the basketball court is newly made so it's really good till now. So overall the campus life of our college is a bit decent.
Admission
The admission process was very time-consuming as it lasted for more than a month but it was ok and the admissions are based on JEE mains all india rank score. The applications are filled in the JAC Chandigarh website as they conduct the counseling. The exam was quite difficult to clear.
Faculty
We got enough teachers in our college and also some of them are supportive but some of them want that the students should study on their own. Most of the faculty teachers have completed their doctorate. We can interact many times they do not scold to apporach them for any kind of help.
