Which is better, chemical engineering from UICET PU Chandigarh, chemical engineering from Thapar University Patiala or computer science from CCET Chandigarh (affiliated to PU)?

Having a few friends from both institutes I might be able to share some facts about both the institutes. Chemical Engineering at UICET is better than Chemical at Thapar University or CSE at CCET. UICET is a well-renowned university and has a reputed department. They have brilliant placement records and a strong alumni base. Laboratories and faculty at UICET are better than those at Thapar. Course fees at UICET for chemical engineering are very less than that in Thapar University. Thapar is no doubt a well-reputed university but as far as chemical engineering is concerned UICET is better. CCET is affiliated with PU located in sector-26 Chandigarh. It is well known for its diploma courses. However, UICET is any day better than CCET in all terms. The fees in our college are very affordable even for backward class students for sc, st students, also there are many scholarships for students that allow them to not pay their tution fees. This college as a very affordable fee structure. Faculity members are very supportive of the students.

Our college fees is very affordable around 80000 per year. Hostel fees is around 4000 per year. The top three students of every branch get hundred percent scholarship and 4th and 5th position get 50 percente fee waiver. And EWS students get 100% scholarship.

Academic fees is very less as compared to other govt institutes in Chandigarh or in other big cities.

The fees for every semester is approx 30 to 35000 that includes hostel fees academic fees exam fees. If you will be in top 3 in the class then the college will provide you 100% scholarship and my opinion the fees of are college is very less as compared to other Government colleges and institutes that are located in Chandigarh or in other big cities. The best part of pieces that the fees for one semester of postal is approx 2200 that includes your room rent wi-fi service security etc for mess you have to pay approx 2500 per month that also very affordable so over all it's a good college with a decent amount of fees.

The fees are the lowest I think from other engineering colleges. The semester from Jan -June cost 28000 and the other semester cost 32000 with a total of around 60000 for a day scholar and or hostellers which increases to 80000. the whole engineering is done in only 2.5 lakhs only. there are scholarships for the ews category students and class toppers also. for the class's first 3 toppers the whole tuition fee is refunded at the end of the course and for the next top three 50% tuition fee is refunded.

What it is like to do engineering in CCET?

CCET (Degree Wing) is one of the most affordable engineering colleges. The cost of Engineering here is around 30-40k per semester. If you perform extraordinarily well in your academics, you get a scholarship. The first three toppers get 100% fees reimbursed and the next three get 50% of their fee reimbursed.

fee for 1 sem is 37000 rest of 7 semesters is 32000. keeps vary depending on the situation and as per university orders the same fee for all braches students. scholarship for top 3 academic students. 1st position full scholarship, 2nds and 3 position holder with half scholarship. Also no tuition fee for sc st students who have avg Gpa of 6.5 throughout the year.
