The infrastructure and the atmosphere is very good.
The environment of hostel is very good and it's well maintained.
The teachers are friendly and cooperative.

Dislikes

This institute fee is way higher than the other government engineering college.
Placements are not good at all , they must take it seriously and took steps to improve it.
Some teachers are very irresponsible with their teaching.

The course VLSI DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY has a great potential to rise in the near future as the semiconductor industries are growing in India rapidly. The course curriculum contains some subjects which has no relation with this course.

Many companies hire interns from MAKAUT. Companies like Capeggimini, Accenture, tcs ,Wipro , Infosys. There are opportunities for students that they can avail internship from top government institutions like ISRO.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placement after the 6 semester. The highest package offered is 10 LPA and average was like 3-4 LPA. The number of students placed are increased than previous years but it is still low.(As per 2022) And At 2023 the placement offers has decreased heavily like the companies are offering 1-2 LPA to the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure contains a total of Rs 60000 per year. However if you are a West Bengal domicile citizen you will get scholarship worth of 60000 every year . The registration fee for semester exam is Rs.1200

Campus Life

MAKAUT organise many fests every year like Anweshan, Anime fest, eSports etc. The library has a good range of books and one of the best part is you can download the soft copy of a book at no extra cost. The facilities and infrastructure of the institute is great.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel has a very good infrastructure. The facilities provided in hostel are drinking water, washing machine, hot water, Gym, free wifi( though the wifi speed is very slow), indoor games . The foods available in the hostel canteen is not good at all.

Admission

I took admission in MAKAUT at 2nd round of WBJEE counseling. My rank was 11k and I am from general category. The WBJEE exam helds once a year in the April to may . This exam is moderate on difficulty level as the competition is way lower than jee or other engineering entrances. The admission process is good. But at decentralised counseling many colleges website does not work properly.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

I and my parents had decided that , I'll take admission in a good college within a feasible distance from my home in WB. So , I had applied to CS/IT branches in Jadavpur university , Government college of engineering and leather technology and MAKAUT . Out of these first I got selected in GCELT , later I got MAKAUT . I chose MAKAUT over the previous one because It had a bigger campus and better infrastructure . I got rejected from Jadavpur because of my rank of state rank of 3600... which is not enough for a general candidate to get into CS/IT branches of it. The admission process is straightforward. After getting selected through the counselling process you get an intimation from the university to visit the campus for document verification.
