Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curiculum stays current with industry trends although it can sometimes lag behind in certain areas with outdated material. As for comprehensiveness i'd rate it 5/5 as it covers everything giving oppurtunities for hands on learning. Overall, i feel like the course curriculum at IITD sets us up for successs by providing a well rounded education thats both practicail and relevant to the channging demands of the professional world

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships oppurtunities are IIT Delhi are diverse and abbundant, provding students with valuble hands on experience. Some of the positions that comes to the top of the mind are: Google: SE intern, Data analyst intern Microsoft: SDE intern Amazon: Business analyst intern, SDE intern TCS: SDE/SE intern Goldman Sachs: Financial Analyst intern, Tech Analyst intern Tata motors, Bosch, Larsen and toubro, Manhindra etc Stipends vary as some may not provide any with focus on the experience whereas others may offer stipends upto 20000 and 100000 per month The top companies offer even more perks. Projects i took personally: Tata motors design engeenering intern: Designed and prototyped a new automotive component. (I would not like to further describe due to privacy issues)

Placement Experience

5

The placements at IIT Delhi are second to none. Students are eligible for on campus placements from sevents semester/final year onwards, although eligibilty for different companies may vary and hence include screening processes depending on the cgpa and academics. Some notable mentions include Google, microsoft, amazon, goldman sachs, adobe among others. The no of offers made vary each year and is hard to tell with exact accuracy but is often above 85% of all students. Me personally after obtaining the degree would like to pursue higher studies abroad aligning to my career interests.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hikes are often revised periodically on an annual basis often due to inflation, infrastrcture development etc. The complete cost per year may reach upto 2.5lakhs depending upon the course and hostel of the student. It also varies per the category of the student (ST/SC,gen,obc). While the reserved categories may recieve some kind of relaxation. Interships are a part of campus part time employment to as to say as it provides the students with a handsome stipend

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at iitdelhi is vibrant, leading to strong friendships and a sense of community and belongingness. Students have access to a diverse range of clubs and organizations catering to various interests from cultural to technical, offering opputunities for personal as well as professional development. The campus, as expected of an IIT boasts modern facilities, well equipped classrooms and ofcourse an extensive library both physical and digital. Rendezvous and Tryst are the higlights of the annual calendar offering a mix of cultural celebrations and technical shwocase. Sports facilities are top notch with various outdoor and indoor stadiums. Student run groups are also common and online portals/communities also contribute to a vibrant campus life

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels in IITD provide basic amenities like bed, study table, cupboard/locker, chair, Wifi and some may have attached bathrooms. Also having the necessary electrical outlets ventilations which need not need further description. Meal quality varies, as in some days are very satisfactory but other days it may dissapoint as in the case with many other colleges mess often does not have quality control and so it is no upto a great standard but still manageable. Registration is pretty much a streamlined process with application form filling within the deadline. Hostel rooms offers convenience but often lack intimate privacy and sometimes maintenance issues with the hostels being old.

Admission

Applying to IITD was a mix of challenges and hurdles. Eligibility was first obvious hurdle as I had to meet the academic criteria by cracking the tough JEE advanced. Finding the application form and paying fees online was easy but the website was a bit overwhelming. I apreciated the clarity on reservation benefits, ensuring fairness althought I did not avail such benefit myself. Frequency of exam depended on the course structure and faculty preferences. As for the difficulty level exam at IITD are known for their toughness and rigor, challenging students to think critically and apply their knowledge creatively. Improvements could be made in offering a more personalized support and streamlines documentation of the admission process. Overall, while rigorous the admission process reflects IITD commitment to excellence and fairness shaping future leaders

The placements of the college is its strong point. A lot of the students get placed at least somewhere in CSE especially. Google is the company a lot of the people get placed in. Highest package is around 2 Cr per annum and Average is around 12-20 Lacs per annum. Percentage of students that get placements is about 90%. There are a lot of internships options here and I know some students that have joined internships from the first year. My plans after getting a degree is to find a nice and comfortable job where I can balance my work and life and work hard there for good money.
