Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

After pursuing my diploma I gone through various researchs and find in bihar there is a little opportunities to get admission and colleges are not so good and admission process are so lengthy.from my seniors I came to know about this university and take admission test and get qualified for admission and i am here. Curriculum is good but a bit outdated syllabus. As in India there is a problem of outdated syllabus and curriculum of engineering course I strongly believe that our syllabus and curriculum should have somehow updated. Aliah university adopts semester system of examintion so here there is exam every 6 months our odd semester happens December-janury and even semester happens may-june. Exams are of 3 hour duration and level is bit tough. If anyone expects 9 CGPA they should be exceptional.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I am in 4th semester now internship opportunities are only available after 5th semester and my seniors get good paid intership opportunities at good companies There is one major project after 4th semester and it is compulsory to qualify

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for campus placement only after the completion of 7th sem . Recently buyjus visited our university and offers 10 students with job. Wipro, Asian paints and many other companies visits but in my presence only buyjus came and recruits 10 students and offered pakage to 450000 per annum. 30-40% student get placed After getting my degree i want to compete GATE exam and PSUs

Fees and Financial Aid

As of now it's been one year since I am here but no increment in fees here there is no policy of fees increment from last 5 years there is no fees hike as I came to know from my seniors. My one year fees includes all fees and device fees are 15000 and my course duration is of 3 years according to this if I calculate my whole course fees is 45000 approx. Aliah university does not provides any scholarship of it's own but one can get state scholarship and central scholarship as well. You you fill NSP you can get upto 20000 rupees a year and if you are from West Bengal you can get state scholarship named aikyashree worth rupees 60000 a year and jharkhand students also can get scholarship upto 60000 but if you belogs to bihar forget about scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

There is a technical fest Named AURA held every year in month of January to february. It held few days back from now in our college with collaboration with IEM And I got chance to participate and got 5th rank. In library of our university every course books are easily available and you can issue these books after your register yourself as library member. Jounrals are not available in our universities library Classrooms are well furnished and seating arrangements are awesome and if we need to explore smart classroom it is available for utilization. Extracurricular activities like NCC and NSS are there and proper football team and ground exists cricket net exists and you can play indoor games as well there is annual tournaments of each sports. Yes

Admission

As I have taken admission in b.Tech Mechanical lateral entry you should compled diploma in engineering from a recognized university. One can find the application form for entrance examination from aliah universitie's official website. Generally application for addition forms say AUAT form released in March to April of every year.this year admission application form are live from 18th of march. And application form fees are 400 rupees. I belongs to bihar and any student from outside the West Bengal are considered as general and not eligible for any kind of reservation. AUAT happens once per year question paper consits of 100 questions and time given is 120 minutes and according to me question level is quite difficult. Improvement I suggest that college should provide center of admission examination outside west Bengal also.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
