Course Curriculum Overview

The course was good. industry visits used to happen once a year. Exposure was there for students to evolve theoretically as well as practically.3rd and 4th-year students were taken to industry visits to have an experience of hands on scenario of the industries

Internships Opportunities

unpaid industry visits were organized. no internship with stipends there though. students could apply and attend sessions on there own. even sessions were there in college also but no means of stipend payment was there

Placement Experience

Its depends on the year and market scenario. however at our times almost 80% students were placed. though it shrank next year again it picked up as per latest reports from current students

College Events

The tech fests and annual socials were the largest events in college. students of nearby engineering colleges were also invited which used to be a huge event.team was used to be formed with in students and then after meeting college sponsored the amount

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility were there for needy students from reputed banks at concession rates

Hostel Facilities

Hostels had all sort of sharing available. single, double, triple and even 4 sharing rooms were there. The cost was 2500 per month with food.

Every year around Feb, alumni meet is organized.

All faculties were phd holders with good industry experience. new talents were also given chance and in many instances passed out students returned to college as an assistant professor who then slowly became a professor.

My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

In my college according to this year college placements went 82% . If you can't get campus placement , there is a high probability if you can apply for any job outside campus and you have relevant skills you can get it . I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
