Because this college is one of the best colleges in India. It has 27th rank in all over India. IIEST Shibpur has good faculties of all departments. I am from West Bengal & this is the 2nd best Engineering college in West Bengal so this is another reason to choose this college. At last, this is a central government college with good facilities so I had chosen this college.

M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIEST Shibpur is a very good course. It has so many opportunities in the future. From the very first year, you have to go through your subjects. M.Tech is basically a practical lab & project-oriented course. At first, you have to choose a good project under some good faculties & do hard work on your project after completing the course you can reach your goal.

Yes, the college provides internship to all student of M.Tech in Electrical Engineering those who are interested. Iiest shibpur also provide a stipend for all M.Tech students of INR 12400.

Placement of IIEST Shibpur is very good. Near about all students those do not have a backlog in any subject in the last year they are getting placed in one or more than one companies. Iiest gives 99% percent placement of M.Tech in Electrical Engineering student. There is also an opportunity for higher study like P.hd.

Iiest shibpur there is held an annual football tournament. Every year there is an arrangement of tech fest & a cultural program. In the tech fest, there is much competition like robotics, debates. In the tech fest, all other engineering college students can take part in competitions.

Fees structure of IIEST Shibpur is at the time of admission it took 42500 INR. In 42500 there are semester fees of 39500 rupees and 3000 is caution money, which will be refunded after complete the course. The 39500 is non-refundable & the semester fees for last three semester is 39500 per semester.

For M.Tech students, there is a scholarship from AICTE all students can apply for this scholarship by applying online in AICTE site.

Hostel facilities and food facilities are available in IIEST Shibpur. There is a separate hostel for girl & boys. The hostel is situated on our college campus. The food facilities in our college hostel are very good. There is an arrangement of some good breakfast with milk & fruits. In college campus, there is also a swimming pool.

Senior students are very helpful and cooperative & very supportive. Even they give an idea about project & future career from their experience. If there is any problem with the subject then firstly we go near a senior & they help us.

M.Tcch is a semester-based course. M.Tech is two years course, and it has total four semesters. First, two-semester is related to departmental subject theory paper and lab exam based. In the third semester, there is an option for internship and theory paper. The last semester is mainly project based. In last semester all students have to submit their final project.

At first I gave the GATE exam and after qualifying this exam with good score(590), I had registered in ccmt (counseling) process & I had choose this college under my choice filling colleges. After end of the ccmt counseling process I had got IIEST Shibpur as my M.Tech college.
