Course Curriculum Overview

Psychology is an interesting subject which opens the door to the realm of human mind and how it works. Psychology enables us to see the people for who they are. The curriculm needs more improvement in encorporating more student friendly teaching methods. The faculty in psychology department is nice.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 26000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure differs according to the course and for the BAP it's 28000 per year. The college also provides financial aid for the students who need financial assistance and also provides scholarships for the students.

Campus Life

You can lean on to the stream you are interested in. The college has a lot of societies that support extra-curricular activities like dance, drama, music, etc. and is also extremely active in sports and organizations like NCC and NSS is also a part of the college. The college societies are run by students. The college classrooms are equipped with whiteboards, benches, desks, a projector, and proper ventilation and with all other required facilities. The library is spread across two floors and have a vast collection of books and required study materials. The college also conducts department fests annually.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is 12th pass with 50-60 percentage in 12th board with CUET entrance exam. The entire application process is online. The application form can be found in tge official website of the CUET or in the official website of the University of Delhi. The required notifications regarding the admission process will be updated in both these above mentioned websites. The college provides reservation for the christian students. The exams are conducted semester wise at the end of each semester and the exams are set in moderate difficulty level and will vary according to the student's preparation.

Worst decision ever

Placement Experience:

Personally, i have good amount of experience in the industry so i might just not need vollege placements. But fir the senior batch i think only a fee got placed but rest of the students are doing things personally.

The ba programe here is little different from other colleges accross the country. The curriculum is quite diversified. If you are intrested in arts , there is lot to learn. If one want to become writter or any thing related to literature , or want to become historian , geo-politics expert,etc. The course is quite good. The exams held every four and a half or five months and the difficulty level is moderate.

Like this course is about rights and authorities which is very important for everyone nowadays and specially when you are a girl so that nobody couldn't dominate you. We read about what were the past sceniors towards the lower castes or women which is also happens in most of the states and cities but this curriculum taught us whats the reality of the world and how to be independent and how to protest for our rights . Even we can more learn about this if the faculity organises those things via presentation or streamings with some videos so it will be more helpful in our exams too!!

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

Good and bad's of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

Reality of JMC

There are a lot of good features like the faculty of Economics is really good. The infrastructure of the college is good. The various societies in the college are good and give a lot of exposure as compared to other colleges. The college fest is awesome here. Since it is DU there are no ACs in the classroom so it suffocates the classes. There are many floors on the campus and lifts can not be used by the students. I preferred this college because it is in the south campus and situated in one of the good areas of Delhi. It is in Top 10 colleges of the Du lists....Read More
