I chose Jesus and Mary college as it is a well reputed college and provides a lot of opportunities for networking and making connections which will matter in the corporate world in the future. I applied to multiple colleges including NMIMS, Symbiosis and a lot of different colleges of Delhi University but because of the course and opportunities i chose to go with my college. i got a rejection from some du colleges but got excepted into nmims and symbiosis along with colleges like jindal global university and indraprastha university colleges. the admission process was through the univeristy of delhi portal and after giving the exam called CUET, its fairly easy to apply to different colleges and track admission status...Read More

I applied abroad to various universities. I got accepted to Kelly school of business, michigan state university, university of Waterloo and in India I got accepted to Symbiosis, Christ. I got rejected from IIM rohtak and IIM Jammu for the IPM program. The reason was very basic, because I did not prepare fully for IPMAT exam. The admission process of my college was facilitated by NTA. First I gave my CUET- got my rank adm score..according to that I was allocated jesus and Mary College in the first round. I got alloted with Jesus and Mary college because my preference list having it at no. 14, i got 732 in my cuet and was jmc was best college i qualified for, jmc has a much safer and good campus and infrastructure than other du colleges once i was alloted i froze my seat and went ahead with the documentation...Read More

I appeared for the Common University Entrance Test(CUET) with accounts, business studies, economics and English . I scored 603/800 . In order to get a DU college I made a preference sheet of 160 college+subject combinations, where I put JMC+BVOC RMIT on 2nd no. Initially I was allocated a seat in Dyal Singh College in BA programme (commerce + economics) through my EWS quota (7th on preference list) , however I was not fully satisfied with this allocation due to 2 reasons ; the crowd and infrastructure. So I chose to upgrade my application and luckily got JMC with my prefered course through unreserved category (General , since JMC offers reservation to only Christian students ). The reason why I chose JMC over Dyal Singh was completely personal . Since I have studied in an all girls school it was easier to blend in a similar environment . The college has lived upto my expectations and I am very happy of my decision. The admission experience was smooth , the admin office and the coordinators of JMC are polite and help us with our queries patiently....Read More
