Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I wanted to study Botany, zoology and chemistry altogether. Curriculum is really good, we have a manadatory visit to different places to know more about the subject. For our first semester we went to aravali biodiversity park as a project work. Sometime syllabus of theory and practical has a vast difference so some focus and improvement can be done in this. I gave only one semester exams till now and result is not out yet. But level of exam was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

2

Moreover reputed companies hire around three hundred plus interns from the college every yearwith stipend as high fifty thousand Rupees. Reputed companies/institutes like EY India, Swiggy, Amazon, Decathalon, Kpmg, Genpact, Moolchand OnePlus, Awign, The Viral Fever, Nivia, Accolite, IIM Lucknow, IIT Kanpur ,IDBI Federal Insurance, Harvard South Asia Instituteetc have hired interns many times from the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our one-year fees is 15,190 which is mostly affordable even thought accommodation is pretty much expensive in Delhi. If one is not so strong financially, there are several scholarships in our college as well. Help the blind foundation scholarship, PMSS J&K scholarship, national scholarship, inspire program and e-mail district delhi scholarship for blind people, for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh people, under all categories, provided to science stream student all category, Delhi domicile student sc/st/obc respectively. There are also many internship you can do and there are several societies, you get paid for after joining them.

Campus Life

4

Manly every college have their different fests , like right now there is a science fair going on in Dyal Singh College. Library is really good, we have wide range of books, facilities provided in labs, classrooms are also satisfying. There are various sports played in college like basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, kabaddi, etc and they have various inter college, department plays going on. There are many society's in college like for pets, dancing, singing, debating , jamini for arts, glamouratti society , rasaynika, etc. They have a great impact on student life, they give us a wide range to connect to people and helpful in boosting confidence. There is also Ncc in college for both girls and boys.

Admission

Eligibility of course is having biology, Chemistry and physics in 12th standard. We have to give a Gt+ english exam as well for entrance. You can fill form in cuet.samarth.ac.in . Exams will be conducted between 15 may to 31st may 2024 .Exam forms to be filled from february- 26 . I got admission through cw quota that is an army quota. First list of cw quota comes with third merit list of college. Every exam slots difficult level was different but NTA at last gives normalise score to everyone. But in this normalisation you can have a increment in marks or decrement. NTA just increases pressure among student by not conducting exam between given date schedule. Our time frame was of 15 - 20 days but they took 1-2 months to conduct whole process which was very tiring if your exams are scheduled on a large space of time. So I suggest to not increase this pressure among students

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.
