Course Curriculum Overview
M.A Geography is one of the best and professional Post Graduation Course .It provides you professional knowledge and aspects of Geography.Geography is inter-connected and it makes inter-connected chains with other subjects. It is a continuous growing and developing subject. The course and curriculum provides you different perspectives and approach to find solutions of Geographical,Political ,Social etc problems. However there is need to add more and more current affairs topics in this course . Each Year is consist of two semester and the exams are held in every semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is not too high .The Annual fee of the course is affordable.The Complete cost of two years may be measured as 30,000. APJ ABDUL KALAM Scholarship is one of the leading scholarship for financial aid to UG and PG students.There are also Student Aid fund where students may apply annually.
Campus Life
There are many and many festivald and events which helds in Jamia Millia islamia by different departments, organisation, society,club etc of the University. The Karvan-e-fikr is one such festival which is held in Feb month by the Department of socialogy. Similarly Department of Tourism organises Safarnama. whereas the department of social work organize sehar. The Dr Zakir Hussain Central Library of University comprises of a more than 3 lakh books and thosands of journals.The Library Building and it's infrastructure is very attractive and it provides photocopy Facilties,water drinking facilities and etc facilities. Some Classrooms are attractive but the most of classroom has to be renovated by news design. Many Students are engaged in sports and extracurricular activities.Campus offers different sports activities and facilities such football,chess, hockey, basketball etc.However apart from sports campus also offers Dance ,music etc Extracurricular activities.
Admission
If you want to enroll in the course you must have bachelor degree for applying for the course.I found Applications form,application fee and dates on official website of Jamia Millia Islamia. Jamia is known for minorities -Muslim reservation mainly but the institution also reserves seats for SC,ST,OBC,EWS and Differently abled Groups. The exams are held in every six months or each semester.They are not too difficult. The admission process of Jamia Millia islamia should be improved by its competent authority by way of adding transparency and accountability in admission process.Admission process of Jmi sometimes gets delayed.
