Reviewing Deshbandhu college

BA(Hons) Economics is indeed a very difficult course. It contains a lot of maths. But teachers in my college explained it well. The only drawback is that classes get canceled at the last minute which causes a lot inconvenience to us. The teachers teach in a traditional way by referring to books and explaining it on blackboard. Usually classes are 1 hour long with no stress on students.

The fees for the first year of my college was 13000 rupees. While in the second year fees was around 12,500 rupees. Financial assistance to people from backward background is available in my college. Overall the fees is quite affordable.

The college has a lot of societies and cultural groups. There's a plethora of options for societies and the people are very welcoming. We can join any society of our interest. I'm a part of Enactus myself and it's not a society it's like a family. Our library is one of the oldest and biggest in college with over 1 lakh books available. We can easily issue the books from there and mostly they are available. Just a very important aspect of sports is missing from our college. There's no cricket, football, basketball or tennis ground. There's just a volleyball court and an archery ground. So that's quite underwhelming.

I had to appear in the newly launched CUET test which was applicable in numerous universities for admissions. Being the batch of 2022, CUET was conducted for the first time hence l just prepared my 12th syllabus really well and with the guidance of my family and friends l solved various papers and solved many LR/DI questions available online. I read articles available online to prepare for gk and this is how l prepared for the much required general test. For BA(Hons) Economics maths and general test were compulsory to take hence l focused more on them and took subjects in which l was comfortable. The test was easy/moderate and l scored a score of 638. And after preparing the preference list of colleges I cleared the criteria of Eco hons in deshbandhu and got selected.
