Course Curriculum Overview

I choose information technology branch as I wanted to study a computer science related course, Faculty members are good and each department has its own faculty members which are very interactive and supportive

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities in our college but you have to prove that you are worthy for it and there are many hackathons also organised in our college and the students of here also participate in many different types of hackathons

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students become eligible for placements, there are many companies which visit our college as our college is located in the IT hub of Kolkata which is Rajarhart, New Town almost 70% students gets placed in our college

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is 4 lakh 80 thousand and it keeps on increasing the other coming year and there is all kinds of scholarship facilities available here like Swami Vivekananda scholarship many students have taken here.

There is annual fest naming yagvik and tech fest is also there mostly they are conducted in the month of April or May, there are books available for all branches in the library and with a library card you can borrow them for your studies and there is also sport's fest in our college

Apply through wbjee and jee exam in this college or for Direct admission contact the website, and then the college admission cell will contact you, TFW feature is there in our college and through entrance exam you can take easily admission in our college

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa.
