- The library system is good. With many authors and writers available.
- The faculty is helpful and coperative.The faculty helps the students in their studies and day to day problems faced in the college.
- The classrooms are enough big to accommodate the strength chosen by the faculty.
Dislikes
- The labs are not very well equipped. The monitors and PC are back dated versions.
- The washrooms are not very well maintained and they stink.
- The faculties are not very helpful in the project work and personal academic life of the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science engineering is a fast growing field in today's growing world. With each passing day the world is more walking towards artificial intelligence. The curriculum considers all the aspects of the students needs with different subjects having everything needed. The areas of improvement is to prepare and make students work for projects and guiding them through it. The coding language is another place for improvement as the faculty should make efforts there itself.
Placement Experience
From 4th year students are allowed to sit for placement. Tcs, wipro, Capgemini are the mass recruiters of our college. Other companies visit as well Deloitte, accenture and many more. The average package being is 4 lakhs per annum and the highest being around 10 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fir computer science engineering and allied branches the fees for the academic year 2022 was 5 lakh 50 thousand. Per semester breaking up as 65000 . For IT it is 5 lakh and for other branches like mechanical engineering, civil engineering 4lakh 50 thousand for 4 years. Per semester it's around 45000. But every year the fees structure changes with a certain hike.
Campus Life
There is a sports fest every year and one technical fest. Events happen all around the year. But dj night and such happened once in my college life of 3 years. Library has access to all the books and magazines. There are different clubs like dance and music.. literature.. sports,etc
Admission
I applied to a lot of colleges in India including BITS Pilani, symbiosis, ViT, KiT,and many other.. many colleges approved me as i cleared almost 90% of these college exams. But due to some family issues i couldn't leave Kolkata and had to choose this college as it is under makaut( Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University) . It is a board. Techno international Newtown selects students based on WB jee or JEE marks. All India exams. The admission process is easy.. there are different cut off for different streams. Like Computer science engineering cut off is about 80.. like wise IT is 65, ECE 50 . And others below that. The admission has to be done in college itself. 3 campus are there.. techno international Newtown, techno university and techno Main Salt Lake. Techno university and techno Main are located in Salt Lake itself. The admission cut off is different for every college. The admission process is also different for each of them. Techno international Newtown is B++ accreditation by NACC.
Faculty
For every 1 faculty there are around 50 students. The faculties are easy approachable. Some of them are really helpful and nice to work with. Computer science engineering faculty are good. There are 4 internals know as CA(continuous assessment) .. CA1 is for presentation making in word or powerpoint. 2nd CA is for presentation based on ms word. 3rd CA is a theory exam . The exam is to be given itself in the college. 4th CA is for MCQ exam. Held by college. But the paper is online. Every year has 2 semesters.
Night Life
There is a cafe inside the college. And some food trucks. Hostel is a little far away from the college. It is safe to roam around at night as it is near bisea bangla. Cc2 axis mall .. central is very near to the college building.. sector 5 is also near.
