Course Curriculum Overview
I choose philosophy because I was interested in the course before hand same is not the case for other students because most of them took the course as a ticket into Hindu College at lower marks. The faculty of philosophy department is overall very average, I believe I would have had better teachers if I had went to and other college like hansraj, because I hear the praises of the faculty of philosophy of there. The teaching methods are very old fashioned and simple faculty don't put any extra effort to help students and not only that but if the students go for help to the faculty it is very unhelpful, I am in first year so not many professors have thaught me but out of the 4 that have thaught me I liked only one, the only one that proves the prestige of Hindu College to be true.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fee for my course was 25300 ruppes which I think is very high for a government college even though it is ranked India's no. 1 co-ed and no. 2 overall according to the nirf ranking. There are placement opportunities in the campus as I have heard but it is minimal from my perspective because only 10-15% of the class actually gets placed and that too only from the professional courses. But that is not an concern because people don't come Hindu College for placement anyways.
Campus Life
The social life at Hindu College is the best because the exposure you get here is awesome as some of the best minds of India come into Hindu College. And because of the events and seminars and other things like that, that keeps happening from time to time you get a lot of exposure. The clubs or as we say society of college are pretty average because from my perspective there just very focused on organizing events and all that rather than doing actual work the infrastructure is pretty average from my perspective because there are not of things that are not available in college like boys common room which are available in other colleges. So infrastructure is decent only from my perspective but does not fulfill the benchmark which expect from one of the top colleges in India
Admission
The admission process happened through cuet, the concept of conducting a entrance exam was good I support it, but there were delays in releasing the results of cuet which further lead to delay in admissions so, one of the things I'd want improvement in is the accountability of NTA towards the applicants which clearly not there this time because of the issues students faced and I faced. BA(hons) philosophy course in Hindu College is not very popular course because many people don't know about it but it s surely worth, as I availed the reservation benefits of OBC I got admission in the course on 718 marks only that was shocking because other courses in Hindu College have very high cut off.
Other Applied Colleges
