Entrance Preview

During our time of admissions SLIET was conducting their own entrance exam. In which i got 11th Rank for GIN Branch.

Internships Opportunities

During my college i was selected for three different industries Siel,GSK Consumer Healthcare and Pepsico India Holdings Pvt. Ltd,during various stages of my curriculum. It was considered as Industrial Training as part of Curriculum and thus no stipend was offered.

Placement Experience

During our tenure Placement was not very good only about 20% students got selected on campus. But i had observed one thing wherever i went for interview or exam i got appreciation from interviewer and always got positive response.

College Events

SPIC MACY,Techfest. Other technical quizzes,Hostel cultural nights,Annual Sports events were conducted. Also NCC camps were also conducted for NCC Cadets.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was as per GOI norms. I paid about Rs. 20,000 per semester as College and Hostel fee excluding mess charges. Which comes about Rs 1200 to 1600 per month which is very much affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Most of the Banks offer Education Loan for needy students. But it was never needed by me. Banks directly pay to College on behalf of Students availing Loan.

Campus Life

Gender partiality was not there and was open for all. But in our batch about M:F was 70:30.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Nights were arranged by students only once a year boys and girls had different hostels and security was excellent in girls hostels also.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Relation between Juniors and Seniors was very good. Seniors always guide juniors in good direction and help in there studies. In situ Juniors also respect seniors. Some of Seniors and Juniors are still my friends are in my social networking groups.

Exam Structure

Exams and Labs were neither hectic nor chilled out. Exams were conducted under strict invigilation and most of the times it was found that courses cover all the subjects in depth which never dissatisfied in exams.

Faculty

During our tenure it was found that faculty was very well educated and most of the team members were having past industrial experience which was very much useful in imaging industrial view while sitting in a class room.

Placement Experience:

The placements at LPU are decent, the University provides placements to almost every student. The placement cell here is really very active. More than 1000 companies visit LPU during placement drives providing average package of 6-7LPA in CSE field. The highest package recorded was 2.5 crore from robotics and automation and 64 LPA in CSE department. 99% of students at LPU get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to join the corporate and work as a SDE or AI/ML engineer at MNC.

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding and math were the subject that influenced me to take this course we are introduced to python and c / c ++ which are the major languages used in the society for AI/ML. Teachers should be more friendly and try to undertsand the students's prospective also and not rush the syllabus we have our exams every regular month (STs and evaluations and end terms)

I don't like any curriculum in our college one day they kept mid and sem exams on same day to be frank my 1st completed in just 8 months I joined in Jan in August end it was completed my first year actually it should be completed in 1 year .

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester a student is eligible for the placements, companies like TAFE, CLASS, Mahindra and Mahindra and many others come for campus placements. The average package is of 5-6 lacs and the highest package, according to me was gone for john deere company at the price of 15 lacs per annum. The students have 80-90% chances of getting placements. I personally want to pursue my higher studies and work on my future preneurs.

Placements are good in this college in this college previous year average package was 9 lakhs 50 thousand and highest package was 60 lakhs but in this college number of students are very high so competition also increases.

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
