Life at SVC

The course curriculum is diverse and interesting . It gives us a wide coverage of all the subjects and domains in order to boost our knowledge at a 360 degree pace and grooming us academically in all ways possible . But the burden is no less , the syllabus is taught by the faculties at a very rapid pace and due to which it is difficult to practise side by side. The faculty is average and they have the subject knowledge but doesn't know about how to teach students effectively.

Internships oppurtunities are provided very less and the latest internships that came were of DE SHAW and nation with namo. Apart from these , very few authentic oppurtunities are provided for internships .

Placements are quite good . If there is a recession phase then too companies approach out college for picking up students but certainly not everyone is able to get placements due to some or the other reasons but the placement cell tries to get more and more oppurtunities for us.

The fee structure is affordable and as it a public college , this was expected because we lack some basic infrastructural facilities including a auditorium and labs are half non functioning . But nonetheless , financial assistance may be provided to students with ews background .

The social life is quite good . The crowd is very learned and we get to know about a lot of things by interacting with the seniors and joining societies. Although the society culture gives us a vibrant exposure but it demands a lot of time . Nexus, which is our annual fest wasn't held this year but may be held the next .

The admission process was quite confusing . First we needed to fill in the CUET form then admission tests were conducted. Then we needed to fill in the preferences based on the ranks generated and at the end college was allotted to us . All this happened through Samarth portel .
