Societies: The way societies hone the skills of students is remarkable

Time table: The time table for lectures is very hectic, with many gaps in between

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason I chose this course was that it aligned with my future goals. The college has enough faculty members in the commerce department. They teach well. Presentations is a common way of taking lectures which makes it easy for the students to understand. The exams are held in every 4-5 months, i.e. at the end of a semester. The level of paper is moderate.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 16242 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 1st year is around 14k. For 2nd year it costs around 16k. In my opinion, it is very affordable for different sections of the society. I have not availed any financial assistance, scholarship or campus jobs as of now.

Campus Life

'Nexus' is the annual fest of Sri Venkateswara College. It is held in March. The library is very well maintained with books of different domains. It is spacious too. Classrooms have a decent infrastructure which includes proper furniture, fans, projector. The college has excellent sports teams of sports like basketball, football, cricket etc. There are many societies in the college which recruit people from diverse backgrounds. Some of them include MAC- The Marketing Club, Extension (Community Service) etc.

Admission

I wanted to pursue Bcom (Hons) from University of Delhi. I gave CUET (UG) as the entrance examination. The eligibility for this particular course is Accountancy / Mathematics + any 2 domains + language. The information regarding CUET is available on samarth portal and details filling up of application forms for DU was done from CSAS Portal.

WHY SHOULD OPT FOR DU COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject.The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management,ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable

DELHI UNIVERSITY - A GREAT HEADSTART

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
