Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty members of my course were supportive and they always helped us whenever we needed. All the faculty members were also highly qualified and tge teaching methods were also interactive for departmental classes. But the class taken by the professors of other departments were a bit not upto the standards.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 232000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The departments work very hard for providing good internship opportunities. Top students if our class will be given opportunity to be intern at prestigious institutes like ISRO, TCL, Wipro, Google etc.

Placement Experience

Campus placement are providing by the placement cell on our campus and companies like TCL, wipro, and many other companies provides placement to the passing students. Although the location of the campus acts as an negative factor in placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was more than any other government colleges in West Bengal but still it was very reasonable and besides that we were given opportunities for different scholarships like SVMCM. We also had a placement cell and pretty good placement was given.

Campus Life

Our main campus is situated in haringhata near jaguli more which a very secluded area making things a bit tough like traveling to campus and getting other facilities. Although the campus was well maintained and it was continuously evolving with constructions going on for new building and new departments.

Admission

The application process was smooth and every candidate needed to give WBJEE getting admitted. The WBJEE exam was given by more than 90,000 students and tge cutoff rank for my course was around 15000 for the general category.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
