Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the English Literature course due to my aspiration to become a writer. The curriculum is rich, offering a comprehensive exploration of various literary genres and periods. The inclusion of creative writing modules aligns well with my career goals. The faculty:student ratio is commendable, allowing for personalized attention and meaningful interactions. The professors hold impressive qualifications, often with advanced degrees in their respective fields. Their diverse expertise contributes to a well-rounded learning experience. In terms of term exams, they were conducted timely, providing ample preparation time. The difficulty level varies, offering a balanced challenge that promotes a thorough understanding of the subjects. As with any exam, consistent effort and preparation are key to success.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee of ?26,000 provides a reasonable structure for the course. However, it's important to consider the college's fees hike policy, as unexpected increases can impact students. I'm aware of any such policies and factor them into my long-term financial planning. While the college offers various scholarships and financial assistance programs, I, unfortunately, haven't been fortunate to receive any as of now. Even if there are scholarships, they don't provide them for GENERAL category students
Campus Life
The annual fest will be conducted in late January bringing students together for cultural celebrations. Other events like the Freshers party in October and the Diwali Mela in November add to the festive atmosphere. The library is well-stocked with books and journals, providing valuable resources for academic pursuits. While there's no air conditioning in classrooms, the overall amenities support a conducive learning environment. The campus encourages a healthy lifestyle with sports facilities and a range of extracurricular activities. Students actively participate in various sports, contributing to a well-rounded campus life. All clubs are student-run, fostering leadership and organizational skills. Social groups and websites managed by students provide platforms for communication and collaboration, enhancing the sense of community on campus.
Admission
The admission process for my course had a structured yet straightforward approach. The eligibility criteria were clearly outlined, emphasizing specific academic qualifications and an entrance exam called CUET. To apply, the college provided application forms online and. The application fee was reasonable, and the dates for submission were well-publicized on the college website and in local newspapers. The process was efficient, allowing for smooth navigation through the submission of required documents. In terms of reservation benefits, the college followed government guidelines, providing opportunities for candidates from various backgrounds to ensure diversity. Information about reservation benefits was readily available in the prospectus and on the college website. One improvement I'd suggest is enhancing transparency in the entrance exam cut-off process.
