Course Curriculum Overview

The college follows KTU curriculum. The faculty members are hardworking. The classes are helpful and the labs are beneficial. The students were provided help from every faculty. The exams were timely conducted by the college.

Internships Opportunities

There are good internship opportunities. They provide a better placement opportunity. Many students gets interships and also will get placed in the same company itself. The college provides every help for the students to achieve a good placement.

The college has a good placements. The highest salary offered was 39 l.p.a and lowest was 4 l.p.a. Most of the students gets placed in the college. The college has good alumini support which provides quality recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships and financial assistance. There are two types of fees - Regulated fee and full fee. It is completely based on merit. It is allotted according to the respective ranks ind keam exam.

Campus Life

Excel is the tech fest. Usually it is conducted in February. The arts fest is conducted in the month of April and sports meet happen in March or April first week. There are various clubs which have active participation. The various programs are conducted by students belonging any clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Ladies hostel is not that good. But the men's hostel is good. In ladies hostel the rooms are very conjusted. There is safety and it is well furnished. The fees is 7000. The food is not that good. They have a fixed menu and follows accordingly.

Hostel Fee: INR 84000 per year

Admission

Was admitted through KEAM entrance exam. Then the marks and ranks was published. There were three allotment process and 2 spot rounds. After 2nd allotment every student had to report to the college allotted in the second allotment

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
