Course Curriculum Overview

Course has 6 semesters and each semester has 5,6,7 or 8 subjects with computer science also. I choose this course for job oriented future prospects. Faculty members of my department are very much educated and provide us a huge knowledge about this entire course. They are also very punctual.

Many popular companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Deloitte, etc come to our university to interview of students, and after that many students cracked this interview and took place as good post in those companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is some fee hike problem in this university but if a student can join almost all classes with utmost concentration and seriousness then no extra tutor is required for them. It is a very good side. After completing my course no opportunity is given in this university.

Campus Life

The biggest fest of the university is "ANWESHAN". Moreover, many small fests are happening here and we enjoy them very much. The availability of books in the library is very well so we are pleased with the management. My campus is very good.

Admission

I passed the university Common Entrance Test (CET) and then I was admitted to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The admission process is so good and I am pleased with this process. My course name is BSc in Statistics and it is a course of 3 years. The application fee was 100 rupees only. There was a reservation of seats for OBS, SC & ST. At least 60% marks in science is enough to be the admission to this course in our university.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
