MAKAUT main campus from the perspective of a regular BCA student

Well, computers & maths interested me as a teen and as a result I opted for this course. The faculty-student ratio is very poor, particularly in our batch of BCA, maybe it will improve in the upcoming years. The faculties are well qualified but there is a shortage of them. The exams are held promptly, and the exam hall guard is pretty strict, yeah if you go through the class notes & some suggestions given by the profs you can easily pass.

Well, sem-wise you have to pay 18k & during admission, you have to pay another 20k-30k including security fees & stuff. overall the fees are around 1.5 lakhs for the whole course. You can opt for SVMCM especially if you are from the WB board. you will get some 18k transferred to your bank account each sem. then there are other central govt. schemes you can search for. Well, internships & placements here are very poor, mostly you have to try from off-campus and you can land a good job.

Well, we have annual fests (ANWESHAN) then freshers (Ajantrik) & time to time we have tech fests sports activities and stuff... There is a whole library building with academic books filled in it, you can issue the book for 14 days & then you have to return it. you must have your ID card to issue any book. You get free wi-fi facility in the whole building, there are smart boards, lifts and some places like the stairs are fully air-conditioned. Yeah, we have NCC, table tennis, cricket, football, kabaddi, gaming & other tournaments happening all the time. Well, we have anime clubs, debates & others that I'm not too aware of.

To apply for Non-aicte courses like bca, BSc etc you have to sit for the CET exam held every year by the university itself. Eligibility for BCA - You must have completed 10+2 from any stream in some colleges, it's better to have some math background You will get all the info. regarding the application form in the official website - makautwb.ac.in Last time they took a lot of candidates into the course - so it would have been better if the numbers were a bit less.
