Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose Bsc computer science because I have an interest in computers. After all, it is a technical field. The faculty in our college is good, some teachers are just mind-blowing as their way of teaching is superb. Here the teachers are sociable and friendly so you can ask any doubt regarding things without hesitation. They take your problem seriously and will provide you with a solution. Both labs and theory classes are held regularly according to the timetable. After 4-5 months there was a semester exam. The difficulty level is moderate you can pass them by solving the previous year also.

Internships Opportunities

3

Both technical and non-technical internship opportunities will be provided by placement societies. It's upto to you whom you choose. In this course, you have to do at least one project every semester which was an interesting thing and brainstorming thing to do.

Placement Experience

2.5

First, second, and last year, all students are eligible for internship depending upon the criteria for a particular internship. Placement Cell Society will provide you with many internships. However, there was not as much placement in DSC. If you are a good coder then you can take a job from off-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 22000. The fee structure is good. I think most students will afford it very easily. The fee in the first year will be approx. 23000 then in the second year, it will reduce to 16000 approx. and further decrease in the third year.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus area of our college is big. The canteen is also amazing but the annual fest is not conducted like that of Miranda or another big du college. The library is also quite big and good seating arrangement for readers. Classrooms are big, spacious and ventilated and have digital board. Sports opportunity are also enough. You just have to talk with the sports teacher. There were many societies which are very active.

Admission

The eligibility criteria are that one should have a sufficient percentage i.e. above 92%. Delhi University college application form is applicable on their site so one can fill that form there before the deadline. You must provide your all details correctly. After filling out the form, you have to pay application fees which are less than 500. If you have any quota either caste or sport then must apply it as you get benefits in the admission process. In my time, admission was based on percentage in 12 boards but now you have to clear the entrance test to take your seat in DU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this course is my inclination towards maths, Maths used to be my favourite subject in school also. Also, there are ample amount of career options after graduation in mathematics, like IIT JAM for masters, placements, Govt exams etc. The student-faculty ratio in our course is about 1:90. This is highest in college because of over admission in the course this year. That is why our class has been divided into two sections of 90 students each. This ratio really needs to be improved. The professors are well qualified, they have a minimum experience of 10 years in this field. Talking about the teaching method, it is overall good, they teach you in the simplest way making it easy to understand for every student, One can freely ask their doubts from teachers. We have a semester exam every 6 months. The question paper is set up by Delhi University, and the level remains easy to an average level. One who has studied half of the syllabus will also be able to pass the exam.

Higher education has never been more accessible, and there have never been more options for every type of budget, learning style, and goal. Having so many options is great, with one caveat. You have to decide where to pursue your goals. It's a big decision, and it can be hard to find quality and pertinent information to help you on your way.
