Likes

The hostel is one of my favourite place. It is very clean and rooms are very beautiful.

Dislikes

The faculty members are not very supportive.
Campus life is not up to one's expectations.
There aren't very course offered. Only EE, ME and FT in B.Tech

Course Curriculum Overview

There are both Diploma and Degree courses in technology in this college. I have opted for the degree course in Electrical engineering. Faculty members are okay but not very helpful. We generally have to deal with academic and other educational problems with ourselves.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 14600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very much affordable, especially for middle-class people like me. You can also avail of several scholarships that are present for students. There is no pressure to pay fees in the given time itself. As long as the fees are cleared before the exam it's all okay.

Campus Life

The campus is huge in area. There are main buildings where the classrooms and practical labs are present. There is also a workshop situated on campus. We have a canteen for lunch or breakfast. There is a huge field for cricket, football or any other sports.

Admission

The selection generally takes place from rankings of entrance tests like JEE or WBJEE. We apply through counselling and then selection takes place. However, I was selected through a decentralized counseling that takes place by the college itself. It is done to fill up the remaining vacant seats.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
