The pros and cons of UEM

I wanted to do BTech in CSE so I joined this course. The number of faculty members is quite good but their qualification is not. Like some of them don't know their subjects well. Whenever a student asks the queries 80 percent time they are not able to solve them, whether it is a maths question or a programming question. The level of teaching is also not good like the first whole semester they were teaching us how to add two numbers in Python and the exams were totally different from what we were taught. There are a total of 2 tests and 1-semester exam. But the tests are just useless, many of the students don't bother to attempt these.

There is a scholarship provided by the college itself. It was discussed at the time of admission only and it was said to me that I will get the scholarship in any one of the semesters and I got 20k as a scholarship. Many of the students got only 10k which is a lot less than what we pay as 1-semester fees. But there is a scholarship for students who have some financial problems

For this university, I would say that there is NO campus life. There is nothing like an annual fest at this university. Also, the fresher's party was such a worst thing there was nothing like a party over there. There was just a small stage and a shade that could hardly cover 20-30 students. All the other students were standing in the sunlight. There is nothing like refreshments provided in any fest, not even the paid ones. All the other fests are held in the same manner. The availability of books and journals in the Library is also not good. Also, the classroom amenities are worse. There are no good fans in the classroom, even in the computer labs, the ac is always off and the teachers don't even bother to switch on the ac in summer too. There are some extracurricular activities but they are not the ones you would love to take part in. There are some social clubs run by the students on their own.

The admission process was quite easy for me as I got admission through my class 12th percentage. To get admission through this process you must get above 60 percent in your boards. There are other processes also like you can get admission through JEE Mains and WBJEE. You can get all the other information from its official website. But I would like you to know that this university is not the one you should get into because there are a lot of unnecessary subjects like economics, entrepreneurship etc which are taught here. Also, some of the teachers who are teaching here are not even worthy of teaching here. The teachers who are teaching the main subjects like programming languages etc are such a headache to students. If you just want a degree and want to upgrade your skills by yourself without any teacher help then only you should come to this university.
