Course Curriculum Overview

I was too interested in doing computer science and like to become a software engineer which is why I applied for this course for almost all the coleges I applied to, however, I got a call from only this college and took admission. We have good faculty for all the subjects and all of them are highly educated and qualified teachers. We have around 30 to 35 members in each division and used to have at least one teacher to handle 30 Students. When comes to teaching methods all the faculty will have their on-note/sliced prepared and will show the working principle through Projectors and OHPs. We use to have internal exams which will cover a certain portion. And the state exam is not that hard to pass.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is normal and can handle by common people. Also, the college will provide educational assistance through reputed banks. Also will provide scholarships for the student who show their talents in Arts science and sports.

Campus Life

The life on the campus is extremely good. Will have the sports week, Annual day celebration, and Arts and science fest each year. The annual day we use to celebrate is at the end of December before Christmas Eve. There is a large library that includes almost all the books which all students have access to read and use it. The classrooms are equipped with tables and chairs to provide comfortable seating arrangements for students There may be individual tables for collaborative work, depending on the classroom layout. The classrooms also include projectors, screen, whiteboard, and Audio output to ensure instructors' voice is audible to all students, especially in larger classrooms.

Admission

Must have at least 75% on 12th grade for applying for the entrance exam conducted by Kerala Board. Should pass the entrance exam with High Ranking. According to the entrance exam ranking college executive committee will send the interview call letter. And there will be a face to face interview. After successfully completing the interview they will sent the admission letter. Application letter will be the same as all other engineering collage in Kerala. We can get the application form from the Internet or from the college website. There will be reservations for SC/ST as per government standards.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
